We learned from our Cruise ship captain…
We learned from our Cruise ship captain 16 hours before our scheduled port arrival, that our cruise would not be stopping, because of high winds making the tendering process dangerous. I immediately contacted BusTravel to informed them of the situation and politely ask for a refund. Their curt reply was unsatisfactory. Their provisions allow for cancelling up the 24 hours before, and they insisted this applied to every possible situation. I indicated that this is a different situation, it’s not as if I woke up and decided i wasn’t feeling up to it anymore, rather the port was inaccessible by the cruise ships and their bus would not be running, so no gas cost, no driver cost etc. So no justification for them to keep my money when they were not going to incur any costs. Very unsatisfactory customer service, be careful.

I did two tours with this company, the South Coast tour and the one including the Blue Lagoon, and while the sights themselves were beautiful I didn’t particularly think we had the best guide - Roman - I feel he could’ve been better. He asked intrusive questions that I found odd. And overall, now having done the tour, if you can afford a car rental while visiting Iceland it would be easy to just go to all of these places yourself. You can start earlier and beat the crowds and not have to stop incessantly for breaks and drop offs. So if you’re well traveled, save yourself time and money and just tour yourself.

I booked a tour for the next day with BusTravel Iceland, when I was on a cruise ship. About 20 minutes after I booked, the captain announced that they were canceling the port stop where the tour was to take place. I immediately contacted BusTravel to inform them that I would not be able to attend the tour due to the cancellation. They refused to refund my money. This is a heartless company, and I do not suggest you book and do any business with them. Book a tour with anyone else.

I went on two tour with this company
I went on two tour with this company, the first tour to the southern coast were ok and i enjoyed it, however the 2nd tour to the golden circle was awful. The tourguide Anna was inaccurate with the informations she gave on board, had a passive aggressive attitude which i know it might impress some people who were on board but sounded very disrespectful to others, we were a big group of diverse people on the bus.all of this because of her bad English and incoherent information. also, the way she stared at me while im getting out of the bus, eyeing me up and down gave me bad feelings because i do not know her neither i do know why she acted in such attitude. This tour might be enjoyable for elderly or seniors who want to observe from distance without moving around to explore or enjoy the scenery.we were in a rush, had little time to explore are observe the nature.
