Slimbook company and Slimbook Kimera Review
This review is divided into two parts: first, the product itself—in this case, a Slimbook Kimera desktop—and then the customer service provided by Slimbook. I am writing this review after almost one year of owning the computer and using it virtually every day. Regarding the Slimbook Kimera (running Fedora and KDE), everything has worked flawlessly so far. Based on my personal experience, I have no complaints at all. I have not encountered any driver-related issues, whether with the NVIDIA GPU, Wi-Fi, audio, or anything else. Throughout this past year, I have not experienced any significant problems. As for the hardware, it performs perfectly. Here are a few highlights: Fans: They are exceptionally quiet. If you have windows open, music playing, people talking in the background, or any ambient noise, the fans are practically inaudible. The slight noise they produce is only noticeable in a completely silent room. During demanding workloads such as rendering, training neural network models, or other intensive tasks, the fans naturally become more noticeable. Even then, I have to say I am impressed by how well the noise remains under control. I have seen computers whose fans sound like jet engines under heavy load. With my Kimera, that is definitely not the case. Temperatures: The room where the computer is installed does not have air conditioning, so it is exposed to ambient temperatures ranging from around 10°C in winter to over 30°C during the summer. Even so, under light workloads (office tasks), the NVMe SSD stays below 40°C and the GPU remains under 45°C. During more demanding tasks such as video editing, rendering, or AI workloads, temperatures increase somewhat. For example, while running the Unigine Heaven benchmark during the summer, the NVMe reached 54°C and the GPU peaked at 49°C. As mentioned earlier, even under these conditions, the fans were not particularly noisy. Ports: This is the only aspect I would improve, although it is not a major issue. The front panel only includes a single USB port, which can be a bit inconvenient. For example, when I need to copy files between two external hard drives, I have to use one of the USB ports on the rear motherboard I/O panel. I was already aware of this before purchasing the computer, and it is easily solved by using a USB hub. Case: It feels premium, or at the very least, very high quality. It feels solid, and in my opinion, the finish is attractive and well-crafted. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase so far. In terms of performance, Linux compatibility, and driver support, everything has been excellent. Regarding customer service, I was personally assisted by Álex via email, so these comments specifically refer to my experience with him. I cannot speak about the rest of the sales team, although I assume they provide a similar level of service. First of all, I would like to say that Álex was genuinely patient and attentive throughout the entire process. I know I can be one of those customers who ask a lot of questions, yet he always replied promptly and took the time to answer every single one of them. They even helped me adjust the budget slightly to better fit my needs. Throughout the whole experience, Álex was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. In summary, as of today, based on my personal experience, I am 100% satisfied with both the computer and the customer service provided by Slimbook. Thank you.

Good Linux laptop with honest support and strong daily usability
I bought a KDE Slimbook VII (Excalibur) for professional audio work, local AI experimentation, and general daily use (office tasks, writing, web browsing, emails, online services, etc.). My initial unit had some minor chassis imperfections related to the production batch, along with noticeable coil whine specific to that device. I contacted Slimbook support and had a long but transparent exchange with their team. They acknowledged the issues, took the laptop back for inspection, and carefully tested another unit before sending it to me. Since then, the laptop has been working very well. Performance is strong and stable both for creative workloads and everyday use, and KDE Neon has proven to be an excellent operating system with frequent updates and a polished overall experience. The build consistency of this batch may not be absolutely perfect, but the support was honest and willing to address the real functional issue properly. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the machine, especially considering that I purchased it during the early promotional launch period before the later price increases.

I'm a happy slimbook user since a decade with te same Pro X15 intel 9th gen. And still gettin updates and parts. Sadly for slimbook i see no end using this notebook soon:-)
