I am writing this review to warn consumers about both the Roborock Qrevo Curve robot vacuum and the company’s customer support practices. I spent $933.94 on this high-end machine expecting a premium experience, but it has turned out to be an overpriced failure backed by dishonest business practices. Regarding the product performance, the vacuum completely fails at its advertised features. It was sold as having self-emptying capabilities for pet hair and special chassis-lifting technology for high thresholds. In reality, the self-empty port is poorly designed and clogs with pet hair every single time, leaving the internal bin empty while jamming the narrow suction channel. Because of these constant clogs, I cannot run the vacuum on an automated schedule. The threshold feature is equally useless because the software logic is delayed, causing the robot to drive up to standard one-inch transitions, hesitate, and get completely stuck. The overall vacuuming power is subpar, scattering light debris and leaving pet hair behind on carpets. The company’s service and warranty practices are even worse than the product itself. When the machine degraded after a few months of use, I went through weeks of tedious troubleshooting steps requested by their support team, including sending videos and cleaning sensors. Their own technicians never identified a single broken physical part. Despite the unit being well within its one-year limited warranty, Roborock flatly refuses to issue a refund. They repeatedly cite a scripted internal policy claiming that refunds are capped at thirty days. I cited their written one-year warranty contract back to them, which explicitly lists a refund as a valid legal remedy alongside repair or replacement. Nowhere in their legal terms does it state that the refund option expires after thirty days while the rest of the warranty stays active. They refuse to honor their own written terms and insist on forcing me into a repair-depot shipping loop for a machine that suffers from fundamental engineering and software flaws rather than a broken part. When I filed a formal dispute with the Better Business Bureau and quoted their contract line-by-line, Roborock completely stopped responding. The BBB officially closed my case as unresolved due to the company failing to participate, leaving a permanent negative mark on their business profile. I have now escalated this matter to the State Attorney General regarding their warranty practices, and Roborock is still refusing a refund. This company takes your money and refuses to honor their contracts once things go wrong. Avoid this product and this company entirely.

Avoid Roborock. I bought their flagship Saros 10 model expecting a top-tier machine that could navigate around a house with dogs. It’s heavily marketed for its advanced AI obstacle avoidance for pet owners and cliff detection. Instead, it’s been a total disappointment. During a routine daily clean on our second floor, the robot failed. It drove straight into a solid, obvious piece of pet mess (which it’s advertised to avoid), failed its cliff sensors by plunging straight down a flight of six stairs. When I sent it in for repair, Roborock sent back a report refusing to honor the warranty, claiming "liquid ingress" voided it. The only reason liquid got inside the mainboard was because the machine failed its own basic safety features and smashed itself down six steps! Roborock is happy to charge top-dollar prices for premium claims, but the moment their software glitches and destroys the machine, they wipe their hands of it and blame the customer. Save your money and go with a brand that actually stands by their product.

I purchased a Roborock Q8 Max+ for around $900 from Roborock’s official Australian eBay store in December 2024. After only 19 months, the mopping function failed — the water tank remains full, the machine reports “water low” and no water is dispensed. What disappoints me most is Roborock’s response. I initially contacted them simply asking for support and was told the 12-month manufacturer’s warranty had expired and I would need to pay for out-of-warranty service. I then had to specifically raise my rights under Australian Consumer Law, which exist independently of the manufacturer’s warranty. After providing videos, the serial number and troubleshooting information, and repeatedly chasing for updates, Roborock offered to waive their $90 assessment fee as a “goodwill gesture”. However, I would still have to pay shipping and potentially parts and repair costs. I understand they may need to inspect the product, but describing the assessment as “goodwill” misses the point. A premium $900 appliance should reasonably last longer than 19 months, and ACL rights do not simply end because a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty has expired. Very disappointing experience from a brand I expected much better after-sales support from.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
