Would give 0 stars if able but unless you can collect it yourself AVOID- their delivery service for large items is beyond a joke. Paid £50 express delivery and to select date only for date to change twice already...and am still waiting for the items! My advice is take your money elsewhere there are other much more reliable companies, never have I experienced such bad service as from ikea delivery!

Oh dear what’s happened to IKEA you used to go put the items you want on your trolley and then go to the checkout and pay. Now you have to go to a collection point and they are overwhelmed so you get nothing most people after a long wait are told get a refund as they aren’t getting their order. It’s a terrible system compared to how it used to be and honestly I’ll never come again. IKEAS done if they don’t change.

We’ve bought from IKEA for decades and seen their development and growth over the years. Our most recent purchases were three PAX wardrobes that were delivered by two very helpful chaps in a timely manner from Sheffield. We’ve spent a couple of thousand pounds recently at Nottingham. We are equidistant between Sheffield and Nottingham so, depending which other shops we also wish to frequent determines which IKEA we visit. WARNING Was anyone else aware that an IKEA discount voucher issued by one store cannot be redeemed in another? In what other global home store would this happen. We were staggered by this, and extremely disappointed at this unfathomable policy. The return process instore and the instore collection process were equally frustratingly laboriously slow. The staff seemed overwhelmed and the delays seemed unnecessary. That one simple policy decision, and poor instore Service may unfortunately steer us away from IKEA in the future. In this day and age, they have to do better.

⭐️⭐️ Very poor customer service I’m currently dealing with a missing IKEA order and the experience of trying to resolve it has been extremely frustrating. The order was due to be delivered and I received an email saying it was out for delivery. It never arrived. IKEA’s website subsequently showed the order as cancelled and refunded, but I have not actually received the refund. I have tried using IKEA’s contact page, but it still isn’t working. I then used the AI chatbot and specifically asked to speak to a human. I was given an estimated wait time of 45 minutes, with a warning that if I leave the chat page idle for more than two minutes, the chat will disconnect. This makes it very difficult to actually access customer service and resolve the issue. I understand that delivery problems can happen. What has been particularly disappointing is the lack of an effective way to contact IKEA and resolve the problem afterwards. I have bought from IKEA many times, but this has been a very poor customer service experience, I wish I’d looked at the trust pilot reviews before purchase.

Extremely disappointing delivery service and customer support from IKEA UK I ordered a wardrobe from IKEA and paid £45 for delivery, specifically because I needed it delivered today so that I could build it over the weekend. I was given a delivery window of 7:30am–11:30am. I waited for the delivery, only to find out after the delivery window had passed that it was not going to arrive. I then had to spend over 30 minutes on the phone with IKEA customer service to find out what was happening. I was eventually told that the delivery would not take place today because the delivery van had broken down, and that it had been rescheduled for Monday. Monday is a bank holiday, and I already have plans. More importantly, the whole reason I paid for the delivery was so that I could receive the wardrobe today and build it over the weekend. A delivery on Monday is therefore not an acceptable alternative for me. I asked IKEA to refund the £45 delivery charge because the delivery service I paid for had not been provided as agreed. I was told they would only refund £5, because apparently £40 of the £45 is the standard delivery charge and £5 is for the express element. I don't think this is reasonable. I paid £45 for a delivery that was scheduled for today, within a specific 7:30–11:30am window. That delivery did not happen, and I then had to spend more than 30 minutes of my own time contacting IKEA to find out why. I appreciate that vans can break down and that unexpected problems happen, but that doesn't change the fact that the service I paid for was not provided. The consequences of IKEA's delivery failure shouldn't simply be passed on to the customer. £5 back is not an adequate resolution. I expect IKEA to refund the full £45 delivery charge and take some responsibility for the inconvenience and wasted time this has caused. Very disappointing experience, especially from a company of IKEA's size
