Justifying value

Let me start by saying that I really like the product. The quality is excellent, and I would absolutely recommend Rubber B based on the product itself. That said, I do think the pricing is extremely difficult to justify. I’ve purchased quite a few rubber straps from different manufacturers, and while Rubber B may be among the best, the difference in quality simply isn’t significant enough to justify the enormous difference in price. Even at half the current price, these would still be relatively expensive rubber straps. I would also like to offer one suggestion regarding the design. The rubber is relatively flat and straight, and at this price point I would expect a more tailored, contoured fit similar to what Rolex provides with the Oysterflex bracelet. A naturally curved strap that better follows the shape of the wrist would make the wearing experience considerably more comfortable and would help distinguish the product from less expensive alternatives. A wider selection of colors would also be a welcome addition, particularly for Daytona owners who enjoy changing the appearance of their watches. Overall, I think Rubber B makes an excellent product. My primary criticism is simply value. When you're charging a substantial premium over nearly every competing rubber strap, the product needs to offer something equally substantial to justify that premium. At the current price, I don't believe the difference in quality or design is great enough to do that. I would genuinely encourage you to reconsider the pricing—or add additional design and fit improvements that make the premium easier to justify.

We wanted to address a few of your concerns: 1) COMFORT Most importantly, when customers find a new Rubber B strap uncomfortable, the most common reason is that it is being worn too loosely during the break-in period. For the first few weeks, we recommend wearing your new strap comfortably snug, above the wrist bone in the normal watch position. This allows the rubber to develop the natural curve of your wrist. If worn too loosely from the beginning, the strap tends to retain its straighter molded shape, which can make the watch sit higher, push against the wrist, or shift the clasp off-center. After a few weeks, the strap will retain your wrist's custom curve, allowing you to wear it looser while remaining extremely comfortable for years. 2) OYSTERFLEX Rubber B introduced its integrated rubber straps for Rolex in 2010, years before Rolex introduced Oysterflex in 2014. You are correct that Oysterflex contains a rigid metal core. While this provides structure, some wearers find that its predetermined shape does not conform as naturally to every wrist. Its underside grooves also collect dirt and oil and can make the watch sit higher. Oysterflex also has a matte surface that may show marks, scratches, or lint more readily. Rubber B uses a different rubber formulation and construction designed for durability, cleanliness, and a CUSTOM fit directly against the wrist. 3) PRICE Rubber B's pricing reflects its Swiss manufacture, extensive R&D, and watch-specific engineering. Unlike many aftermarket straps that include replacement spring bars because their fit is more generic, Rubber B straps are calibrated specifically for each compatible watch case and designed to use the original OEM spring bars. This provides a precise fit while protecting the watch's lug holes. Rubber B is manufactured in Switzerland at the same highly specialized Swiss facility used by prestigious watchmakers including Hublot, Richard Mille, Vacheron Constantin, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Patek Philippe. While straps from many of these brands sell at considerably higher prices, Rubber B has kept its prices relatively stable for more than a decade despite increasing Swiss production costs. 4) COLORS Our limited color selection is also related to Swiss production. We share highly specialized production equipment with luxury watch manufacturers, so production availability is limited. Every color requires a complete machine flush and recalibration, while each additional color also requires maintaining significant Swiss-made inventory. For this reason, we prefer to focus on carefully selected colors rather than producing a large number of options that may have limited demand. IN SUMMARY There are now many straps on the market that may appear similar at first glance. After 16 years, however, we believe the real difference becomes apparent through fit, durability, manufacturing quality, and the long-term ownership experience. I purchased two dream straps

I purchased two dream straps, and both are excellent. They seem sturdy, and the micro-adjustability is awesome. I purchased a 22 mm (any watch style) and a fitted 20mm for my IWC Mark XVIII. If they hold up well, I plan to purchase another strap or two.
