1-star review: Expensive sticky placebo patches sold through an MLM that prioritizes recruiting over results I got sucked into LifeWave after a friend (who is a distributor) pushed the X39 and other “phototherapy” patches as a natural way to boost energy, reduce inflammation, and support healing without drugs. The pitch sounded great — nanotechnology that reflects light to stimulate your body’s own systems, stem cells, etc. Reality was very different. After several weeks of consistent use following their suggested protocols, I noticed zero meaningful benefits. Energy stayed the same, aches didn’t improve, and sleep wasn’t better. What I did get was skin irritation under the patches, occasional headaches, and a general feeling that I was wasting money on expensive adhesive circles. Some people online report worse reactions (itching, rashes, anxiety, digestive issues, blood-pressure spikes). The company and distributors often wave these off as “detox” or “healing crises,” which is a classic way to dismiss negative experiences instead of taking them seriously. The science behind these patches is extremely thin. Independent reviews (including from places like McGill’s Office for Science and Society) point out vague mechanisms, company-linked or low-quality studies, and a lack of solid, peer-reviewed evidence that they do what is claimed. They are not FDA-approved treatments for any medical condition. Distributors frequently oversell them with anecdotal miracle stories while the official site stays carefully vague. Relying on unproven patches instead of proven medical care is risky — especially when people with real health issues are encouraged to keep buying more. On top of the product issues, this is a classic MLM. Most people who join make little or nothing after expenses (LifeWave’s own income disclosure numbers have been cited in regulatory actions showing the large majority of active participants earn zero commissions). The pressure is on recruiting friends and family, buying inventory/starter packs, and staying on autoship. It feels more like a recruitment machine than a product company. High-level promoters have faced FTC action over inflated income claims. That should tell you everything. If you’re considering these patches for health reasons, save your money and talk to an actual doctor. If someone is trying to recruit you into the “business opportunity,” look at the income stats and the long list of people who end up with boxes of unused patches. Total disappointment.

This is the only product that helped…
This is the only product that helped regulate my sons type 1 diabetes so that he can function again. It helped balance my wifes menopause too. I have helped so many people gain access to the patches with wonderful results that it has also turned into the most lucrative Network marketing business I have ever been involved with. Do they work for everyone? It depends if you follow the protocols. Don't expect a "wonder fix" but combine this with good lifestyle, exercise, eating etc. The value far outweighs the investment.

All 5 of our family members have felt so much better wearing the Lifewave patches, particularly the X39 patch for almost 4 years! Way less aches and pains, more energy, vitality and stamina. Better mental clarity - I can remember people's names and even tell jokes without forgetting the punch line! My skin is softer and my herniated disk rarely bothers me unless I do something stupid. Best of all, I feel more calm and able to handle stress. We use many of Lifewave's products like the face lotion, electrolyte mix and other patches and we love them all! My husband definitely had a detox reaction at first and felt more tired until he started drinking more water. It just takes some people more time to adjust than others. Now he loves them as much as I do! Lifewave has a very lenient return policy and is a super reputable company. Great customer service and fast delivery!

Have had long lasting side effects from wearing Aeon patch for just two days. Rumbly stomach all night, weight loss and sweating. Rash, hives on head and crippling anxiety.

Id leave a zero if I could
Id leave a zero if I could. I get the whole "youre such a warrior" conversation from the saleswoman. I ask the question "what if it doesnt work?" But she says "oh, that wont happen. Well, my long list of ailments has NOT responded to these sticky patches. Might be great for people with mild pain, but not what I deal with 24/7. But here's the clincher. You need to use it for SIX MONTHS to get a result, but if you want to return it, you have to do that within 30 days. Ive contacted the saleswoman, she has washed her hands of this. Apparently getting her commission is all she cared about. ZERO response from Lifewave after many emails requesting a refund. Once these guys have your THOUSANDS of dollars, thats it. Except for the continued patches you get in the post. I also have patches for things which I didn't ask for. I have the whole lot, despite the fact I had NEVER wanted to be a part of their MLM scam. Absolute rubbish. Im glad it seems to work for some people, but youre royally screwed if it does nothing. Zero customer service... zero product satisfaction. I deeply regret ever finding these people. At least AMWAY works!!!!!!!! Steer clear.
