Hotel Reservations rip me off/ update 7/29
Hotel Reservations rip me off. I had googled the number for the Borgata located in Atlantic City NJ. I had thought I had clicked on the website’s number for Borgata, but unfortunately I had dialed HR. Upon talking to the staff member I was under the impression that she worked for the Borgata. I requested to stay for 2 nights, and was asked to pay for the total amount. First red flag I paid them and received my confirmation number and hanged up. I needed to call the Borgata number again to confirm something, so I google the number again and clicked the same call button. However the number is different from the original number I had dialed. I spoke to the Borgata representative, and stated that I just spoke to one of off your staff and I reserved a room for July 28-30. I gave them my confirmation number and she stated that they don’t use that confirmation number and then she asked for my name. Red Flag # 2 my name was not in the reservation system. I proceeded to call the original number to immediately cancel my reservation since I made the reservation on July 26 2:45pm. I called back at 3:07pm to cancel my reservation. However, they stated that due to their cancellation policy they would only give me 50%. I said what day was I suppose to cancel to receive my full refund and it stated July 25 4:05am now that is shady. They lied to me, they never reserved the hotel room with Borgata, and they expect me to travel back in time to cancel something that was never requested. I made the biggest mistake by not realizing that I don’t have to pay for a hotel unti check in. Double check the url. Update 7/29/26 We had issued a ticket, and thankfully we were able to receive our full refund. However, they need transparency with them self and with the customer.

If I could rate it a zero I would
If I could rate it a zero I would. Overcharged for a room that was not worth the amount we paid. Our son got a room twice the size with a king sized bed and we got a smaller room with a double bed for $100more because my spouse thought it was a booking through the hotel itself. When I called Room Reservations or hotel booking.com they agreed to refund me a measly $46 and said it was the BC government that made the rules that they couldn’t refund more. The hotel said they have never heard of the company. Consumer beware! Call the hotel directly and make sure you confirm everything

Hotel reservations.com gave me a total…
Hotel reservations.com gave me a total price including all fees. Then charged my credit card over 40% of additional fees after processing my credit card. When confronted they tried to offer me 10 then 12 then 15% discount acknowledging they were wrong. But would not charge the rate they quoted or refund within 5 minutes of the dishonest transaction. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY. BEWARE.
