One star is too much

One star is too much, just don't book with them. Important item first: if anything goes wrong with your flight, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CONTACT OR HELP. My flight from Greece to Portugal via Germany was cancelled 5 hours before flight time. I was not notified via email, not told the reason for cancellation, therefore not knowing if I am entitled compensation. I found an alternative flight on their app, to travel 2 days later, I didn't take it. Then their system automatically booked me for a flight for next day without asking me. Tried to check in the rebooked flight, their system won't let me do it. This was happening overnight, no customer service at that time. When calling their customer service line the sound was so bad it was impossible to communicate. Found another line which was a bot. Asked to speak to a human, bot send me a link to chat instead. Went to chat, chat stuck, not working Got another email that they will arrange a hotel for me, went through the link, only to see "we are trying to find a hotel for you", meanwhile I am on the street without a place to stay due to the missed fight and accommodation in Portugal paid that I cannot use Losing work earnings that to claim would be a nightmare, since we can't even talk to a customer service. Even if they give me a free flight in future, I will not take it, the hassle, stress, losses, lack of support, it's just too much wrong with this company. It should be illegal for them to operate like this. Worst nightmare with ANY carrier and I've had hundreds of flights. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE Edit: does anyone know of a formal body that oversees these companies where we can raise a formal complain?

No reason to believe this isnt a scam.

No reason to believe this isnt a scam. Delayed flight 5 times in 5 hours, beginning 2 hours before takeoff. Then the connecting flight, also this sham company, gor cancelled 7 hours before takeoff. No explanation, no help other than an autogenerated email with some compensation hotel and some claim that they are fixing things immediately. Obviously a lie. Horrible scam company.

Changed date of return flight - no answer

Changed date of return flight. Had to find tickets home on my own. I contacted Eurowings and asked for cancellation and refund (had booked through Eurowings/Lufthansas portal Opodo, so they only need to confirm the cancellation) a week before the return flight. No response. Three weeks after the cancelled flight, three emails and two online forms later, there is still no response. Do not be fooled by the fact that Opodo is the official portal for Eurowings/Lufthansa. Opodo was adamant that the flight was not cancelled (it was, so if I had belived Opodo, I would have missed my flight). Both are horrible at answering questions and complaints. Next step is a formal complaint and reimbursement case.

Utter chaos and complete absence of customer care

Utter chaos and complete absence of customer care My experience with Eurowings has been extraordinarily poor. After my flight was cancelled, Eurowings left me effectively stranded and automatically rebooked me onto an alternative flight that I could not take. I contacted them immediately to explain this and to ask for a workable alternative. Before making any alternative arrangements myself, I contacted Eurowings three separate times through their own system, clearly setting out the problem. Each submission generated a ticket, so I know the messages were received. I heard nothing. After the rebooked flight had departed, their system would no longer even allow me to select another alternative flight. With no response from Eurowings and no functioning rebooking option, I eventually had no choice but to book a new flight myself. I subsequently submitted my claim, together with the relevant information and costs. It is now nearly two weeks later and, despite repeated attempts to contact them, I have received no meaningful response whatsoever — neither regarding my requests for assistance at the time nor regarding my claim. At this point, Eurowings is not simply providing poor customer service; it is effectively ignoring my legal rights as a passenger, including my right to appropriate rerouting or reimbursement following a cancelled flight. Unfortunately, there seems to be a recurring theme with Eurowings: when something goes wrong, the customer is simply left to deal with the consequences and then has to chase repeatedly for reimbursement and compensation. Whether intentional or not, a system in which customers receive no response inevitably creates the impression that if they are ignored for long enough, some may simply give up pursuing what they are entitled to. And please, Eurowings, do not respond to this review with a friendly-sounding “help line” or email address for me to contact. After multiple unanswered submissions through your own official channels, that kind of public response would feel performative rather than helpful. It may create the impression that you are responsive, while in my experience those channels have simply led back into the same black hole as all my previous communications. What makes this especially frustrating is that British Airways used to operate the route I need, but unfortunately cancelled it. BA offered, in my experience, far better comfort and service — including genuinely comfortable seats — at around half the price. By comparison, Eurowings feels like paying twice as much to sit on what are essentially wooden seats covered in fabric. For another comparison, I recently had a delayed flight with TAP Air Portugal. Their handling could hardly have been more different: I received a response within an hour, my claim was dealt with immediately and the money was in my account within five days, without endless correspondence or chasing. That is what competent customer service looks like when disruption occurs. Flights can be cancelled. Delays happen. What distinguishes an airline is how it treats its passengers when things go wrong. On that measure, my experience with Eurowings has been dismal. If I have a reasonable alternative in future, I will stay well away from Eurowings.
