Staff became agressive after being questioned
We were told we couldn't collect our car due to initials on my credit card. The clerk added €200 onto the booking and told us we could take the car. I questioned how he could process the original booking after saying he couldn't for the orinigal price. He became aggressive. He got into the car with my partner in it and removed the keys from the ignotion. Pushed me. Swore at me. Refunded us. Threw the receipt over the desk and left us stranded. Beyond words. Its a total scam. They did the same with charging an extra €200 to multiple tourists while we waited. Shocking.

Green VW Taigo with damaged panels and bumpers
Arrived late, exausted in the dark at 11pm and they allocated a green VW Taigo. There was notable damage to the front passanger side door 30cmx30cm as well as both bumpers 10cmx10cm, yet oddly no damage was indicated in the paperwork. IMO it felt like a car Delpaso pass on to customers picking up at night in the hope they dont check and photograph the damage so Delpaso can bill customers on their return. Indeed when I did drop it off, the agent requested proof of photos of the damage!! He then carefully inspected the rather dirty windscreen and managed to find the most miniscule chip you have ever seen, barely noticable with naked eye. I never noticed it and no stones ever hit the windscreen whilst I was driving. I felt it's like he knew where to look! He then pulled out his list of charges and indicated that its 600 Euros fee to pay. Of course I refused and to be fair he was in agreement. Oddly Im now banned from using Delpasso again.

Avoid unless you know exactly what you’re doing.
Our experience was very similar to other people who have written 1 star reviews (not worth 1 star). We arrived late and had to provide an international driving permit (Why?). I knew someone who had booked with Del “boy” Paso so had this in preparation. I have annual excess insurance so didn’t need additional insurance from Del “boy” Paso. However my Barclaycard was not acceptable to leave the €1200 deposit as it only had my initial . The car was booked through Easyjet and they had my driving license, passport and international license. I could also show them my Barclaycard account with any deposit taken directly from it it immediately. However this wasn’t enough. I had people either side of me who had traveled from the airport in the minibus with us in heated discussions with the agents as well. They were both refused cars. I was told that if I wanted the car I’d have to pay their contract cost of €322 to enable me to take the car. I felt under a great deal of pressure as I felt I had no other way of getting to where I needed to get to. Amazingly my Barclaycard was acceptable to take their contract out. No amount of arguing worked on how they could accept my Barclaycard for their contract but not for a deposit. Personally this is one of the worst, frustrating and annoying experiences I have ever had and would advise anyone to be very wary if you book with this company. Once they got my €322 I didn’t need international driving permit or anything else. This company may appear cheap at the outset but may cost you a lot more unless you are fully prepared with everything that they require.

Fatal, nos tuvimos que ir sin el coche después de tener la reseva hecha y pagada. Más de 3 horas esperando, teníamos una cita en el hospital, no podíamos esperar más, tuvimos que coger taxi. Aún esperando a que me devuelvan el dinero. Lo peor, la chica de gafas que nos atendió, qué desagradable, sin ganas de ayudar. Un cero para el personal.

Avoid Delpaso
Avoid Delpaso – fraude! I strongly advise against booking a rental car with Delpaso. We were put under significant pressure at the counter and were told that our Dutch credit card could not be accepted for the deposit because it displayed our initials and surname, even though this is how Dutch banks officially issue cards cause of the law. Strangely, the same card was perfectly accepted for a €365 charge and later for fuel costs. We were effectively pressured into paying an additional €365 to get the car. In my opinion, this was a dishonest and unacceptable way of taking advantage of tourists. It felt like a scam and a deliberate misuse of their position. Be very careful when booking with Delpaso and read the conditions carefully before paying.
