First time using Condor on Poole to St Malo. Unlikely to be my first choice next time I want a channel crossing. It has a lot going for it. The ferry really is impressively fast - but once you've stopped in Guernsey it's no quicker than all the other crossings. That said, the stop in Guernsey is a welcome break from the monotony - and you'll get phone reception which saves paying the extortionate fee for the on board WiFi. If you want to get off at Guernsey you'll pay a lot more than going straight through to France so don't be fooled in to thinking it's a nice way to break up your journey. They're obviously milking the rich tax exiles. The price on paper was good but by the end of the journey I'd been charged £140 in extras so it was more expensive than the other options. Biggest proportion of this was because on arrival at reception they arbitrarily decided my van is 1 inch too high. My van is exactly the same height as the maximum height but the check in staff decided otherwise and obviously at that point you've got no choice but to pay the extra or not travel. They were catching everyone out. If you've got any van or a car with a roof box/bikes etc. expect to get done even if you think you're under the limit. I'm going to report this sharp practice to the Competition and Markets Authority. On the outbound journey the ferry was late leaving, late arriving and due to the huge queues at immigration late leaving the port. They were only checking passports but three staff for ~750 people isn't enough. I arrived at Poole at the recommended time of 1pm, left the port in St Malo at 10.30pm so realistically you need to allow 8.5 hours. This is considerably more than, Poole to Cherbourg and probably more than Portsmouth to Caen or Le Havre in practice. On board is just like every other ferry, though there is plenty of seating so you won't need to worry about somewhere to sit even when the selfish few decide to lay across 5 seats. There are two bars, a hot food counter, tiny shop, kids area with TV showing cartoons. It's all good enough. There is only one rearward-facing outdoor deck which gets crammed so plan in being inside all the time. The catamaran makes even smooth seas feel rough so you'll need your sea legs.

Was denied access to water! How am I supposed to be on an overnight boat without being able to drink water. Sort of atrocious, especially as they consider themselves to have a ‘restaurant’ on their ship. But yes all I asked for was whether I could refill my bottle or get it refilled but I was told that I couldn’t.

AVOID CONDOR FERRIES they are a scam misleading people!!! April 2026 From the moment i called and book ticket i was lied to, once we got to the ship, started journey, arrive in Guernsey 4am and they have kept us hostage until 6am! If they was honest about this i would never book with them, Condor ferries are the worst! Never book with them, they dont have complaint procedure in place, nobody cannot do nothing, in the end i phoned police and they sorted out situation: either you disclose information (that you will keep everyone on board hostage for 2 hours) in which case i would not purchase the ticket, or you let him go out NOW! Worst worst worst company AVOID AVOID AVOID Condor Ferries

Complete shambles. Along with aurigny and blue islands making it near impossible to live in Guernsey. Expensive, unreliable, dirty broken seats and trays, sticky carpets. Nasty

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
