Created an account a couple of month ago, but have not started using it. Noted a credit card ther in the process. Have now noticed that without any information about it charged 5€ every month for I think receiving some mails.

My funds are stuck with Coinmotion and they avoid giving clear answers
Funds inaccessible after deposit — Coinmotion gives no clear solution I deposited funds to Coinmotion and tried to make a cryptocurrency withdrawal. After that, Coinmotion restricted my account functions for “security reasons” and the withdrawal was not processed. It is now the fifth day since this issue started. Coinmotion asked me to provide an ID-selfie with my face, my identity document, and a handwritten note. I provided exactly what they requested. I also answered their questions and confirmed that I am the account holder and that the withdrawal was initiated by me. After receiving all of this, Coinmotion still did not process the withdrawal. Instead, they insisted on a phone call as an additional requirement. I then clearly explained that a phone call is not possible for me. I did not refuse verification. I asked them to complete the verification in writing through their own Coinmotion messaging system, or to explain how the pending crypto withdrawal can be cancelled and the funds returned to my verified bank account. After that, Coinmotion cancelled the crypto transfer and returned the funds to my Coinmotion account. However, this did not solve the problem, because I still did not receive a clear answer on how I can actually access or withdraw my funds. I asked very clear and practical questions: Can I make a new cryptocurrency withdrawal? If not, can I withdraw the funds back to my verified bank account? If neither option is possible, what exactly is blocking the withdrawal? Which account functions are still restricted? When will the restriction be removed? Instead of answering these questions, Coinmotion sent me instructions on how to file a formal complaint and how to specify a compensation claim. This completely missed the point. I did not ask for compensation. I asked how I can access my own money. This is extremely concerning. A financial service should not accept a deposit, block a withdrawal, ask for documents, receive those documents, cancel the withdrawal, and then fail to clearly explain how the customer can withdraw or return the funds. The amount involved is also relatively small — less than €1,000. This is not a huge or unusual transfer. Even for a small amount, my funds have now been inaccessible for days with no clear timeline and no practical solution. I understand that AML and security checks exist. But security checks should not become an excuse for poor communication, endless delays, and leaving customers without access to their own money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Coinmotion. They accepted my deposit, restricted my withdrawal, requested documents which I provided, cancelled the transfer, and still have not clearly explained how I can get my funds out. If you are considering using Coinmotion, be very careful. Even a small withdrawal can become a long and frustrating process with unclear answers and no practical solution. I will update this review if Coinmotion resolves the issue, allows me to withdraw cryptocurrency, or returns the funds to my verified bank account. --------------------------- UPDATE – 27 May 2026 Five days have passed since I published this review, and the situation is still not resolved. Coinmotion still does not allow me to withdraw my funds either as cryptocurrency or back to my verified bank account. The account remains restricted, so the money is still inaccessible. Since my original review, I filed an official written complaint with Coinmotion. They confirmed receiving it, but instead of providing an urgent practical solution, they only stated that they aim to respond to complaints within 30 days. This completely misses the point. I am not asking for compensation or arguing about a minor service issue. I am asking for access to my own money. I have already provided the requested ID-selfie, confirmed that I am the account holder, confirmed that the transaction was initiated by me, and offered to answer any additional verification questions in writing. I have also submitted the case to FINE in Finland because Coinmotion has not clearly explained how I can get my funds out. At this point, Coinmotion has had my money for over a week. They accepted the deposit, blocked the withdrawal, cancelled the crypto transfer, kept the funds inside the Coinmotion account, and still do not allow withdrawal either as crypto or to my verified bank account. No clear timeline. No clear written decision. No practical way to access my funds. This is a serious warning sign. Be extremely careful before using this service.

Koen käytön helpoksi, mutta tiettyjä parannuksia, kuten automaattiostojen hankintapäivä määrittely pitäisi saada vapaaksi. Lisäksi kurssien vaihteluiden pitäisi olla hieman nopeampaa, mutta noin yleisesti erittäin tyytyväinen palveluun.

Coinmotion tilini hakkeroitiin-kaksivaiheisesta tunnistautumisesta huolimatta- kaikki kryptot (Btc, Eth, Cardano, Uniswap, jne) tyhjennettiin tililtäni, varoja yhteensä n. 2000 €. Yhteydenpito Coinmotioniin asian tiimoilta hyvin tahmeaa, pyysivät ainoastaan tekemään rikosilmoituksen jonka tein. Lopputulos: poliisintutkinnan johtopäätös että itärikolliset hakkeroinnin takana. Coinmotion pesi kätensä koko vyyhdistä,;ei puhettakaan mistään korvauksista. En todellakaan voi suositella kokemuksen perusteella!
