Spa Day - not a Groupon voucher. As we had been before we knew where to go Glad to see that parking is included in the cost - scan the QR code on the reception desk in the Spa reception area. Information given about treatment times and a map of the areas. Went to the sunlight room but nothing turned on and the control panel for the lights is covered over saying staff only, stayed there for about 10 minutes waiting for staff but nobody showed so left and went to the hot tub. We did return after the hot tub and the lights were on so we decided to order a cocktail, the menu list showed 14.80 each so for 2 this equates to 29.60 yet on leaving I was billed 32.63 for 2 a difference of 3.03 which is not a lot but prices need to be correct and I assume this was a surcharge as split over 2 it does not work out will not be doing this again. Hot tub is lovely and has a lovely view we were the only ones so was nice. The hot tub used to have a clock on the wall so you could see the time but that appears now to be gone, hot tub area could do with a hand rail into the tub to help people. Salt room nice but lacks the ambiance to be calming 4 or 5 chairs all close together and these were taken so we had the egg chairs at either end of the room, which was okay. Steam room and sauna all good. Waited at reception for our treatments, facial first. Whenever my daughter and I have gone before we have both been in the same room this time no we were taken off separately to different rooms which was strange. The lady I had kept calling me darling which is totally unprofessional, she knew my name. The facial was lovely though only comment is that she scooped all my hair up at the end and tied it on the top of my head this should have been left for me to do. Off for the manicure daughter and I in the same room this time with the same two ladies doing the manicure. My manicure was not the best and also the side of my nail was cut with the clippers by the lady doing it she did apologise but I felt her heart was not really in it and she was not paying attention. At the end we were both put under the dryers to dry nails and then left nobody returned to say yes all dry you are good to go. We decided to go for our tea so left. Afternoon tea was okay, tea could do with 2 tea bags in the pot as very weak. Jam for scones was a runny liquid but otherwise okay. Would I go again, hmm perhaps I was unlucky with the lady who did my manicure and facial as my daughters nails look lovely. I would have to think carefully about this.

**Disappointing birthday spa day at Brooklands** This was a birthday gift and unfortunately it did not live up to the price or the photos. **Spa facilities** The relaxation space itself was much smaller than expected, just a Himalayan salt room, two saunas and a steam room. The salt room seating was so close together that privacy was impossible, and the seats were often damp from previous guests. The infrared sauna was uncomfortably bright and hot, the Finnish sauna had a broken timer, and the steam room was hotter and less pleasant than either sauna. None of the rooms had any aromatherapy scent, no eucalyptus or anything similar, which is normally part of what makes a spa feel relaxing. The walkway to the experience shower had standing water on it and we both nearly slipped, which needs addressing before someone gets hurt. The outdoor jacuzzi was a genuine highlight, with a lovely view over Mercedes Benz World, but it was the best part of the wet area by some distance. **Treatment** My friend's therapist arrived a couple of minutes late, mine arrived closer to ten past three for a slot that started at three. In the treatment room I was asked to lower my swimming costume to my waist while the therapist remained in the room rather than stepping out, which felt inappropriate, especially as we were already behind schedule. The massage felt rushed and impersonal, hot oil was applied without warning and in a larger amount than felt necessary, and a wooden roller tool used partway through looked as though it had been grabbed off a shelf as an afterthought. I had no idea whether or how it had been cleaned. We were back in reception by 3:30, so the booked half hour did not fully happen once the late start is taken into account. **Afternoon tea** Our tea order was mixed up, and what eventually arrived labelled as green tea smelled like passionfruit and rose rather than green tea. The food did not match the presentation shown in photos, one small pot of cream was provided for four scones between two people (a second was brought over when asked), and I was met with a puzzled look when I asked for a fork for the cakes. **Sustainability** The spa uses single use plastic cups for water, and a staff member was overheard telling guests to bin their flip flops after use, while downstairs the same venue charges 50p for eco friendly takeaway boxes. That does not add up. **Overall** As a birthday treat this was underwhelming across every part of the day: the facilities, the treatment and the afternoon tea. I would not book again.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful but, sadly, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The sandwich selection was poor, most were just egg or cream cheese and very few salmon or ham. Sandwiches were quite dry, although when we asked for a few more, they came out much fresher. No salad or leaves / greens / tomatoes at all as depicted in the photos and would have been expected. Scones were hard and more biscuit-like and cakes were not much better, didn’t taste fresh and some were on soggy bases. Very disappointing overall, especially as this was a family birthday celebration that we had traveled for specifically.

Went to the spa on the 24th of April ‘26 with my sister and disabled daughter. Manisha who did the facial and manicure on my daughter was extremely patient and caring for her needs. She made every effort to ensure my daughter was calm and had a pleasant experience. The staff in the restaurant we also lovely. What let’s the experience down was the price of drinks and the fact that you had to pay for parking. Oh hot tub could do with a hand rail to help get in and out

We were ROBBED at Doubletree by Hilton Hyde Park London while sitting with the front office manager Jason Nicholas. He invited us to the restaurant for a chat and Pepsi, he chose the seats at the entrance. He was directly across from us, he saw the entire robbery, he saw the thieves, but denies it all. It surely premeditated. He is the only one in the hotel who can view the lobby CCTV, mind you he says the restaurant CCTV is out of order. After viewing it himself, he says it's too cloudy, and I can't see clearly. We were set up by this manager Jason Nicholas, who is employed by Hilton & Brooklands hotel Surrey management company. Incredible! So here's the thing, you get an invite from the FOM, and while he is sitting directly across from both of us, made a signal to the Thieves to distract us and our very heavy backpack was snatched. Two days later after the GM ducked us, we caught up with him. He supported Jason's story. We lost alot, cash for travelling, Iphone, expensive jacket and all the others, credit cards, passport card. There was absolutely NO ASSISTANCE from the hotel. Even we were charged Fully for the 3 nights we booked initially. THERE IS NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER IN THE HOTEL . And that includes your rooms which anyone has access to. Hilton has no responsibility, they say it's the hotel's problem. The hotel management failed us. They told us that their insurance will cover the loss. But the insurance company denied coverage. Trying to contact the Management Company Brooklands hotel Surrey, the area GM Marco Gervasoni, he called us and told us to follow with our travel insurance. We sent him numerous emails and he didn't reply. Timmothy
