Die Geschäftspolitik ist nicht so toll…
Die Geschäftspolitik ist nicht so toll! Ich besitze nun eine Handpan mit 11 Tonfeldern von denen ich aber nur 9 spielen kann, da sich die beiden anderen nur "schräg" einreihen würden. Hatte davor eine orientalische Stimmung, die mir nicht gefiel (Pan war super gestimmt) die ich gegen eben meine jetzige umtauschte. Laut Gesetz hätte ich ein Recht auf Nachbesserung, Wandelung, etc. Battiloro sind die deutschen Gesetze egal, da in der Firmenpolitik nur 1 mal umgetauscht werden kann. Bin sehr enttäuscht...

I purchased the Shandi drum
I purchased the Shandi drum: 20 note D Kurd for 3,990 Euros (6700 CAD). At first the customer service was outstanding, very responsive and willing to engage via Whatsapp. They have even sent me a very brief video of the drum being played - very brief, very quick and a poor quality recording of which they warned me when they sent the video. I received the drum on June 29th, 2026 and was at first, understandably, awestruck as it is a beautiful instrument. Within the first few hours of having received it, I did notice that one of the notes had a warbled sound on the sustain. Importantly, at no point in the video were the notes struck and allowed to resonate enough to hear this distortion. On July 4, I reported the issue for the first time. The very first response I received was, "Mmmmm I don't think so. We do not ship any instrument if it is not perfect." I attempted to explain what I was hearing but was willing to consider that perhaps the instrument was not resonating properly because of the stand. I had ordered an Atlas stand and we agreed that I would wait until I received the new stand to see if it made a difference. I received the stand and there was no difference. I began playing for friends who, with no musical training whatsoever, quickly noticed the problem as well. I wrote again explaining that the problem was persisting. The next response referred to what I could be doing wrong followed by, again I quote, "I think that we have spipped you one of our best instruments." On July 9 I wrote again. I stressed that I was no in way trying to insult their craftmanship but that I simply wanted to work towards a solution. This correspondence occured on July 8, ten days after receiving the drum. The response was, "Certainly, I understand, Even if there is nothing that we can do about it." I wrote back expressing my dissatisfaction with their responses, noting that at no time had they asked for further clarification, to engage in a video call, or offer to work with me towards a solution. I expressed confusion and quite frankly irritation at their continued focus on how perfect the drum was and how amazing of artisans they are. I again wrote on July 10 expressing a sincere desire to ensure that the drum was at least fixable. I did not receive a reply. I sent another video clip which captured the sound issue more clearly and to which three other handpan makers had identified as a problem. On Wedensday, July 15 - now 1 day past the 14 day "cooling off period" during which you can return the drum, stating that they did not think there was a problem but rather that it was simply the activation of the octave. For reference, I am a classically trained pianist and have been playing drum for a year. This was discordant. I decided that I wanted to return the drum and informed them of the same to which I was told the return period had expired. While Battiloro makes beautiful instruments, they were completely unable to grasp that an instrument can be well made, beautiful AND have a defect all at the same time. At no point did they express a desire to investigate the problem or explore options. Never in my life have I experienced customer service like this where the primary concern seems to be defending themselves before even asking pertinent questions. In the end, they have refused to consider a return despite the fact that I began speaking about this only 4 days after receiving the drum - well within the 14 day return policy. It very much feels that they dragged it on intentionally to allow the time to elapse so that I would not have a choice. Advice to future buyers: if you experience a problem with your drum, do not attempt to speak to them about it. Simply return it and buy elsewhere.

Beautiful and Luminous
I love my Tanit handpan! It looks and sounds beautiful with its golden, luminous tone. And I love that it is tuned to 432Hz, which is precisely what I wanted. I am so very pleased with my purchase, and will buy a second, different model at some point. The company itself was very easy and pleasant to work with, responding to my questions quickly. I appreciate their quick response time. Thank you!
