Atera operates with anti-customer practices, trapping businesses in endless payment cycles. After an internal review found that Atera violates our company's procurement process, we attempted to cancel the purchase order. We contacted Atera Sales, Atera Legal, and Atera Customer Support, but Atera refused to cancel, forcing us to pay out a multi-year contract we never used. To prevent future charges, we meticulously followed the cancelation policy in Atera's term's of service, section 11.2, which states to email customer support to cancel the auto-renewal. Support assured us they would contact us to confirm renewal when the term expired. Instead, they ignored our written request, auto-renewed the contract anyway, and falsely claimed they never received notice to weaponize their fine print. Despite acknowledging zero platform activity for two years, they still demanded full payment. Do not trust Atera; their business model relies on forced auto-renewals instead of earned customer loyalty.

First off: stellar value for money, especially if you´re in a small team, or solo. I like the patch management, automatic schedules and script deployment quite alot. Copilot is pretty sweet for ad hoc scripting, although I was mildly dissapointed when they made it an add-. Asset management, Health Monitoring and ticketing are ok, work as advertised. Software deployment can be a bit hit-and-miss, although it´s tough to say whether that´s on Atera, or WinGet/Chocolatey.

Atera is great! I use it solely for RMM. The license per tech pricing is perfect for my MSP.

I have been running the platform for two years. The core of the solution works good. Patching works well, Splashtop integration is great. I have had issues with it installing simple apps like Office 365 and Google Chrome. I had to write custom installs for these as the baked in ones do not work consistently. The major problem is, and why I an not renewing is there is no point of contact for issues when they arise. I am in the middle of trying to renew my subscription and they keep sending the wrong invoice. The only way to contact them is through generic email support addresses.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
