Takeachef as a platform seems to be…
Takeachef as a platform seems to be functional, comprehensive, straightforward way to find a private chef. My low rating reflects the quality of food and service that I have received. It may well be the chef’s ability and performance that I am rating, but the whole experience is making me question how the platform is screening, connecting, compensating, giving guidelines and setting standards for their chefs in the platform. I am certain there are cooks and chefs in this platform that are here to express their culinary passion and expertise. I really hope this platform is sharing the compensation fairly and I am quite disappointed that I have missed out on those chefs. But at the price point of 60usd per person. I would at the very least expect a well screened, qualified, well prepared and organised “chef” . I shopped and my pantry items are used, I waited too long and I’m not satisfied with the quality and quantity of food and most of all cleaned up the dining and the whole kitchen after this chef service. I am open for further discussion if needed more details. But ultimately, I have availed a service from a provider that should have had a pool of experts that would at the very least satisfy at one point or another. Everything is downhill because the qualification is not there to begin with.

Jamal Jackson and his sous chef Erika delivered an incredible menu of French delicacies that rivaled what my husband and I were served in Paris within the past year! From foie gras with fig jam to the creme brulee and everything in between, (roasted beet salad, crab gougeres, French onion soup, coq au vin, fillet au povoire, herb crusted branzino, and our very favorite-Asian infusion of duck a l'orange!!)our nine course meal was outstanding! It is obvious when a chef loves what they do and Jamal loves what he does!! My kitchen was left immaculate and we plan to try a new menu next time which we hope is soon!

Fue una experiencia increíble. Os aconsejo esta gran experiencia si queréis vivir una comida o cena en vuestra casa del nivel de cualquier restaurante de alta cocina. Laura Rosero Aristizabal nos hizo pasar una velada inolvidable en nuestro primer aniversario de boda. En nuestro caso fue un regalo para mi mujer, fue una total sorpresa para ella. Cuando mi mujer abrió la puerta de casa y se encontró con Laura y Sebastián en nuestro hogar será un momento que nunca olvidará. La cena fue adaptada a nuestros gustos y fue muy fácil hablar con ella los días previos a la cena. Súper recomendable, contratarla es asegurarte el éxito de tu evento.

Excelente servicio. Alex fue muy profesional, atento y cuidó cada detalle. La cena estuvo deliciosa, con una presentación impecable y productos de gran calidad. Sin duda, una experiencia que repetiríamos y recomendaríamos.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Marius highly enough. From the very first communication, he was absolutely incredible. His attention to detail, passion for his craft and genuine love of what he does shone through every step of the experience. From helping us choose and personalise the menu, being so helpful and communicative in the lead-up, to arriving exactly on time and making the whole evening feel completely effortless, Marius went above and beyond. He didn’t just cook an incredible meal — he created an entire experience. From beautifully laying the table to clearing everything away afterwards, every little detail was taken care of. And the food… honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had. Every dish was exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavour. He had also gone to the effort of sourcing incredible local produce, which made the experience feel even more special. What really stood out to us, though, was how wonderful he was with our children. He took the time to get to know them and, when he discovered that one of them was celebrating a birthday, he went completely above and beyond and made a homemade chocolate birthday cake for us. Such a thoughtful and personal touch — and one we certainly won’t forget. Marius is incredibly talented, professional, passionate and genuinely lovely. He made the whole experience so enjoyable and completely stress-free for us, and we would absolutely love to use him again. If you’re considering booking a private chef, book Marius — you will not be disappointed! We couldn’t recommend him highly enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
