Another helpline that's of no help
I don't recommend this line at all, in fact from my own experience, I'd say it's as far from a self prevention line that you can get. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. Firstly you can not withhold your number, the system won't take your call otherwise, so if your are desperate and looking for a free and fair place to offload this is not the place to do so. Lucy who answered the call was hostile and unfriendly right from the start, her first question was who is this calling? didn't bother to ask me about my feelings or the state of my life. Went through a list of scripted and interrogatory questions . Her second question was are you calling from Bristol.? There were lots of suspiciously long pauses on the call when the line went silent. My take away this is more of monitoring line and one that has no respect for callers privacy.Robotic responses and expectations All of which could make you feel worse as a result.
