DON'T USE THIS
I managed to make it work ok and thought it was alright to model a kitchen. Then it wouldn't let me login. Again and again and again. So having worked out how to use it and having finished the model of the kitchen and other rooms, I can't access it. Help is only for paying models so they are useless. DONT GET THIS

Don’t even get me started. Let me start off by saying how infuriating this software is. My laptop runs perfectly fine on the regular, but every single time I open this damn app it freezes and lags EVERY 2 seconds. I add an object and the page reloads or it decides to close by itself. Second of all the saving is shit. For example, I’ve been working on a specific part of my house all of last week and I decided to open it just now to continue on from where I left off and it decided “oh I’m just going to delete everything you’ve worked so desperately hard creating” WITHOUT even letting me open my past history and finding my ‘old’ progress. I’ve never dealt with a software that just decided it’s going to do its own thing without it allowing me to work on it myself. I’m writing this now because it’s genuinely left me in such a miserable, pissed-off mood and I need to have this done within the next week WHICH is becoming less and less achievable. After this project I don’t even want to hear the word ‘SketchUp’ again. Like genuinely, fix your software. Actually I’m not even done. I’m genuinely so mad still LIKE BRUH HOW ARE YOU GUYS STILL RUNNING THIS PROGRAM. FIX. IT. Why am I always getting stuck in a god damn wall and why do I become one with the furniture every time I decide to do a 180 just to get the right angle to push/pull. Oh and why does it run at 1 frame per whenever it decides it wants to corporate with me? Look, I understand the ins and outs of the program, I truly do, but for the lords sake, I can’t get it to compromise with me. One second it’s my friend, the next (within 0.1 milliseconds) it’s my enemy again. Idk if I’m done yet, I’ll continue when I find another issue..

Using your investments as hostage
I learned sketchup because it was free for private use. Because i had learned it i bought a subscription for my professional use at work. Now, without warning, Sketchup are holding all my private designs hostage and will not even allow me to export them unless i pay for it. That is the same greedy a***le move as Adobe did. Do NOT invest time or money in sketchup. They will use your work as hostage in the future.

I have been using SU since the year…
I have been using SU since the year 2000. Although the software isn't comparable to now, the customer service was incredible and the people cared. Today this company appears to be yet another greedy US corporation. Their customer service is as bad as trying to obtain help from an American airline company. The cost of their software is incredibly expensive and their customer service makes it a continued slap in the face. This is not the fault of the many talented and caring people who work for the company. Their hands are held by their corporate board and their management team. I really like to give good reviews for people and companies. This one does not deserve it as they do not care!

This is one of the worst modeling apps...
This is one of the worst modeling apps I've ever used. First of all, it renders 3d objects hollow, which makes them really hard to work with. The GUI is extremely counterintuitive, especially when typing in measurements. When using the push/pull tool to remove things, don't expect it to work. I can't believe how bad this website is! If you want to 3d model, go make an OnShape account instead.
