Love these dresses!

I have bought 3 of their dresses now and I just love them! They are cute, flattering, cool, washable, and I always get compliments when I wear them. The material is high quality and I have not seen any fading or stretching at this point. They have so many colors and fabrics to choose from. I love the details like the lace, the boning, and the lace up backs. I will continue to buy these dresses.

Orders ship local, returns ship international

Ordered some items for an upcoming event and paid for expedited 7-10 day shipping. One item shipped the day after my order and arrived on time. The other items shipped over a week after my order and didn’t arrive until well after the event. I reached out to customer service about returning the items and was offered the choice of returning the order (buyer pays shipping fees, they estimated $10-30), or keep the items and receive a 10% refund ($14 on a $144 order), 25% off coupon, $15 voucher, or $10 gift card. I chose to return the items and was told that I have 3 days from receipt of the email until the return window would close. The return address is in China, despite the return address on my order package being a business address in Illinois… and the return shipping cost with international tariffs is $66.70 (for a $144.77 order), not $10-30 like they said in the email. I asked about sending the items back to the Illinois business address, so we’ll see what they say… Customer service’s emails are very generic and either automated or pulled directly from a script with no reference to your specific order, just a list of policies and encouragement to opt for a 10% refund or store credit instead of a return. They’ve responded to me about once a day so far. Like other reviewers, I’d recommend buying through Amazon so you actually get a smooth, fair return process and a third party to intervene if needed. Otherwise you risk having to eat some or all of the cost if there’s any issue with the order. I’ll probably end up just trying to resell the items on Amazon for a reduced price to get some of my money back.

If you agree to keep the products (perhaps for future use or resale), we will issue a 50% refund immediately to your original payment method. If you strictly prefer to return the items despite the high cost and complexity, please note that our warehouse requires returns to be sent back to our designated facility in China for quality control and destruction purposes (as these items cannot be resold due to hygiene/safety standards). In this case, the full refund will only be processed after we receive the returned goods, and the return shipping fee is indeed borne by the buyer per standard marketplace policies. However, given the $66.70+ shipping cost you mentioned, we strongly believe the "Keep & Refund" option above is much more beneficial for you. I have got so many complements on my outfits from SD! Their customer service has been wonderful and you can tell they are dedicated to customer satisfaction. I will always choose SC for all my renfair/halloween/daily outfits! Can’t beat this company!

Refund? - No chance!!!

Some items were okay but the ones I needed to return have been a nightmare. Was offered a discount on my next order instead of a refund and then told there is only a 3 day window for items to be returned. What happened to the 14 days described in their returns policy??? Eventually had to open a Paypal dispute for them to agree to refund on return - then had to try and negotiate sending it back - you will need customs tariff codes etc (which apparently we have to pay) before sending, and then have to apply to HMRC afterwards for a refund of this. It will cost you a fortune and end up being a pointless exercise. If you order from here be prepared to keep anything you receive because you have no chance of getting your money back.
