Outstanding Food & Customer Service
My husband ordered the Fishermans basket and said that it was the best meal he has ever eaten dining out in over 20 years, almost after every bite he was saying magnificent, it made me laugh. I had pizza and it was delicious, Very generous serves. The staff were super friendly and professional and catered to every need. Simply outstanding. We will be back. Thank you

I went to San Marino Cafe and Restaurant for breakfast and had poached eggs with bacon and the poached eggs were done perfectly!:) I highly recommend their food and service.

Ristorante impeccabile, ci siamo stati con mia moglie e mia figlia durante una breve vacanza a San Marino. La qualità del cibo non è per niente male, il servizio è splendido (camerieri gentilissimi). Posso estremamente consigliare l'impepata di cozze, davvero superlativa. Ho messo 4 stelle e non 5, solamente perchè il bagno non era troppo pulito (però capisco bene che alle 23.30 serali, possa essere in condizioni un pò sporche dopo tutto il servizio) per il resto, assolutamente 5 stelle su 5

Not what it was
Unfortunately the San Marino, once my favourite restaurant and which I had recommended to my family, failed to live up to its usual high standard tonight. I don’t know what has changed - new owner, new chef, new staff but tonight the ambience and quality of this restaurant was a shadow of its former self., Firstly, in a Mediterranean restaurant you don’t expect the type of music played here tonight, it was more relevant to a street bar in a high street than a relaxing Mediterranean restaurant, music to eat by it certainly was not in fact it was awful and certainly not conducive to our meal enjoyment. The wine ordered, which was not cheap, was the cheaper version of Monterray Rose and certainly not worth the money, L but i have to admit that I have had the same problem before with this particular wine. One of my group ordered a starter which failed to appear until we reminded them that he had ordered one. My meal of lamb chops had soggy lukewarm mashed potatoe floating in a sea of oil with paper- thin tasteless veg. I have enjoyed this meal here before on many occasions but tonight the quality of this meal was very disappointing. My daughter’s risotto had pieces of dried up chicken which was obviously overcooked. Out of six meals ordered only one was seen as truly satisfactory, that one was a pizza and you can’t do much wrong with that. Can you? We did complain and the response was that they had had a very busy day with unexpected customers coming in late. Obviously quantity over quality applied at this restaurant tonight, it was very disappointing Overall a very disappointing experience, I won’t be going here again, a pity because it used to be so much different.
