Disappointed
Disappointed Really disappointed with my RimBlades purchase. Despite following all of the fitting and application instructions carefully, they started coming off within just two weeks. Even more concerning, one came off while I was driving on the motorway, which was obviously dangerous and completely undermined my confidence in the product. For something that’s supposed to protect and improve the appearance of your wheels, I expected much better durability and reliability. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can’t recommend them and expected a lot more from RimBlades.

I have used Rimblades for a number of…
I have used Rimblades for a number of years on the hope that I could get them to remain on my alloys. They have a high failure rate with the adhesive bond breaking down in the summer heat and the Rimblades coming off. My latest experience is all 4 of the Rimblades I fitted came off on my Fiat 124 Spider. I follow the instructions religiously. My advice would be to go for alloy protectors which rely on a mechanical interference fit. I have also used Rimblades on my Jaguar F Pace. So far two Rimblades have failed. Good idea poor product.

Red protections on a cherry Black XE
I have bought rimblade light protections for the 19' wheels of my Jaguar XE. I am satisfied with the product: It is quite easy to fit, and looks good in red, contrasting with the cherry black paint of the car. The only question is about the little clips. They are supposed to be glued with cyanoacrylate glue, which is not compatilble with water or even humidity. Time will tell, but 3M adhesive would be better suited. Rimblade protections are sensibly priced, and a great help for all the people plagued with the ultra-low profile craze. I think 35 profile tyres though efficient on the track are of no use in normal road use except making our wheels prone to kerb damage.

I had the original rim blades on a…
I had the original rim blades on a Nissan Altima for over 8 years with no problems. 3 months ago I purchased a new car, the first thing I did was order a set of "Rim Savers" Yesterday while driving along I heard this rumbling from my front tire. Thinking I had hit something I pull over to find that the Rim Saver had come loose and was gone! I just ordered a new set to replace the missing one. '
