They advertise the car at a cheap…
They advertise the car at a cheap price, but once you contact them, they ask you to leave the car at their location and then charge AED 350 for pickup and charging. This is completely misleading. The advertised price does not reflect the actual cost, and these additional charges are only revealed later. In my opinion, this is a misleading practice designed to make customers pay much more than the advertised amount. People should be careful and confirm all pickup, charging, delivery, and additional fees upfront before dealing with them.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Deposit trap, read before you rent. Do not rent from Moosa Rent a Car unless you enjoy chasing your own money for over a month. I rented a Geely and returned it 5 days early — clean, undamaged, barely driven, parked at my home for most of the rental. My AED 1,000 security deposit should have come back within 30 days. Instead: total silence. No response to follow-ups, no explanation, nothing. The only reason they responded at all was because I told them I was filing a formal complaint with Dubai Consumer Rights. Only then — 37 days after I returned the car — did their “accounts team” suddenly produce a deduction sheet: AED 350 for “car pickup” (a charge never mentioned to me at booking or handover), AED 350 for “car dirty” (the car was clean — this word never came up in person, it just appeared on paperwork afterward), plus VAT. Out of AED 1,000, they tried to hand back AED 123.20. This is not a one-off. Search this company and Tripadvisor and you’ll find dozens of near-identical stories — silence after return, then sudden made-up “cleaning” or “admin” charges the moment you push back or mention the authorities. That pattern, plus what happened to me, is exactly why I’m warning people here. I’ve filed a full complaint with Dubai Consumer Rights (DET) with receipts, contract, and the complete WhatsApp evidence trail, and I’d urge anyone dealing with this company to do the same rather than accept whatever they offer. Bottom line: if you value your deposit, rent elsewhere. If you must use them, video the car in full detail — timestamped, every angle — at both pickup and return, and get every single fee confirmed in writing before you hand over a dirham.

The company is located in Al Quoz 3, Warehouse 59, Street 6 and Equity metro 46M9+483-al qouz 3- Based on the information and experience shared with us, the location appears to be a very small office within a vehicle repair/warehouse facility, rather than a conventional car rental office. There are also serious concerns regarding the return of customer deposits. Customers who have paid a deposit and are waiting for a refund have reportedly experienced difficulties contacting the company, including unanswered calls to the accounts department, receptionist, and other staff. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you exercise extreme caution before renting a vehicle or paying any deposit to this company. If you already have an outstanding deposit that has not been returned, . I have included the location details above Please share this information with anyone who may be considering renting a vehicle from them.please don't sign the contract because they will charge 360AED for washing car,this fees is written very small

They operate under multiple names—including Houston Rent A Car, Moosa Rent A Car, and HMA Superior Rent A Car—specifically to confuse customers and avoid legal accountability. Their business model is a systematic scam targetting tourists. They lure you in with cheap daily rates, but the moment you return the vehicle, they will look for any excuse to steal your AED 1,000 security deposit. In my case, they manually wrote "Car is Dirty" on the return agreement and then completely ghosted me on WhatsApp for weeks. When they finally responded, they sent a fabricated bill full of illegal charges, including charging 5% VAT on a refundable security deposit—which is strictly illegal under UAE law. I have already filed an official fraud case with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Consumer Protection) and initiated a chargeback dispute through my bank. Check their recent 1-star reviews; they are doing the exact same "dirty car" and fake tax calculation to dozens of tourists right now. Save your money, your sanity, and your time. Avoid these fraudsters at all costs!
