Very disappointed I ordered a book…
Very disappointed I ordered a book cradle and holder for my husbands Christmas present upon opening on Christmas day, we discovered a very disappointing present, the holder was a very expensive cardboard filing box twenty pounds paid for this, product could have been bought from rymans for about five pounds, the book cradle was made of cardboard and would not have been able, to support the weight of my husbands books, this was additional 3.50 on final invoice 7.50 was added to order in vat and nearly ten pounds in postage costs amounting to just over 41.00 for two pieces of cardboard, nowhere in initial description did it suggest the items were cardboard, I contacted the company straight away, about returning items as they were not as initially described and the photo was very misleading, after the new year I received a response from Laura who told me to return items at own cost, which I have done, the items were returned unopened and intact and I have yet to receive a response regarding a refund. I feel totally misled, and completely ripped off, I would avoid this company as customer service and product is terrible.

Very disappointed
I place an order with preservationequipment.com and as far as I can tell, it's the same company. I ordered an A1 Archival Paper Storage Box to be used as a gift box for prints. First of all, it's a glorified card box for £32 (including ~£11 for shipping), but that's okay, they didn't claim it was anything more. But when the box arrived, even though it was in a protecting box, it was damaged. While it would still serve its purpose, it was not esthetically pleasing. My first reflex was to take photos of the damage and request a refund. Indeed, I didn't have time to go through a replacement process and I found another way to present my gift prints. I was firstly proposed by Laura a refund of the shipping cost. I didn't necessarily understand the logic there, I don't know if the item was damaged during shipping or not, but it's in no way my concern. I replied telling how I expected a full refund because I believe that when I order an item, it should come in perfect condition and that I wouldn't pay 2/3 of the price for a damaged item. Laura's response was to propose to arrange a collection for the damaged item before proceeding with the full refund. I refused because I am often on the move and arranging a collection would have been complicated for me. So in the end, I have a box that I didn't use for the purpose I intended, and I paid over £20 for it.
