Have been a customer for about 2 years. The online portal is comprehensive and easy to use and modify. My main issue is the constant sales calls I receive from the business asking me to set up virtual meetings regarding “mandatory “ updates because of the Big Beautiful Bill and HR compliance meetings all designed to sell me additional services that I am not interested in. I met with one of their “compliance” reps 3 weeks ago and have received no less than 2 additional phone calls for exactly the same issue. I have repeatedly asked them to reduce the phone calls but to no avail. I suppose it is their business model so you can’t really fault them for that, but it is annoying and for the most part a waste of time. The thing is, even if you screen your calls you still have to answer if you see Paychex because it could be a real issue with payroll.

Avoid Paychex!
Every process is handled by a different department: payroll, benefits, reporting. The cost ten times what my last employer paid for the same number of employees, more robust system and better customer service. Also, why is the answer "enable popups"? Why is a payroll system using website popups?!?! Is it possible to give it negative stars?

Lost money for no reason
Lost money for no reason, couldn't even use any of it so I am going to sue. Plus when I wanted to cancel nothing could be done. This is very useless

A negative star would be accurate
A negative star would be accurate. Paychex is the worst company I have ever dealt with. 18 months later we are still trying to get them to amend 2025 payroll which they screwed up royally. Their system is a bunch of non caring unskilled people in silos who pass you like a hot potato. So every time I contact them I deal with a different person and have to re explain my situation In retrospect it would have been easier for me to learn payroll than deal with them Please give them a hard pass, we are small company of under 10 employees, so nothing even remotely challenging

All employees are friendly and helpful. The website is user friendly and easy to navigate. Customer service is prompt, payments are timely and the staff is knowledgeable.
