The staff were polite and the car selection was decent, but the process took longer than expected. It wasn’t a bad experience, just not as smooth as I’d hoped.

Serious Warning, Avoid One Oak Motor Company Ltd / Kenneth Ashton Unsafe vehicle, false information, and unprofessional behaviour. I purchased a vehicle from Kenneth Ashton, trading under One Oak Motor Company Ltd, located at 335 Rothbury Terrace, and the experience has been deeply concerning, both in terms of vehicle safety and the conduct of the seller. Within three weeks of ownership, A mechanic which I had to pay for the check this, discovered that the wishbone bolts had not been tightened correctly from previous work. This is a severe safety risk that could have caused the wheel to detach while driving. Had I not had it checked, this could have led to a serious accident. The exhaust black box detached completely due to heavy corrosion. This was clearly a pre-existing issue that had been ignored or hidden. The car required £200 in immediate repairs for these faults. The driver’s wing mirror was smashed, which was not disclosed in the advert or during the sale, a basic and obvious defect that should have been made clear. The V5C (logbook) was never submitted to the DVLA, despite the seller assuring me he would handle it. I have since spoken directly with the DVLA, who confirmed it was never registered in my name or address. I am now being forced to pay £25 to obtain a new V5C myself. To make matters worse, Kenneth falsely told me the car was taxed, encouraging me to drive it untaxed from Newcastle to Scotland, an illegal act. As a first-time buyer, you would expect the dealer to be more on top of the facts of cars and not encouraging illegal activity such like driving an untaxed car. During the test drive, my boyfriend was not allowed in the car, and Kenneth proceeded to make a disturbing and inappropriate joke about kidnapping me. This was highly unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, especially as a young woman buying her first vehicle. I have contacted Kenneth Ashton directly, requesting reimbursement of the £200 repair cost and £25 DVLA fee, but he has ignored all communication. This situation has been financially damaging, legally risky, and emotionally distressing. The level of negligence, dishonesty, and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. I am currently considering further action through Trading Standards and citizen consumer services. I urge anyone considering buying a vehicle from Kenneth Ashton or One Oak Motor Company Ltd to reconsider. This has been a serious breach of trust, safety, and professionalism.

Please do not get scammed by this company. They sold me a van and the very next day the check engine light came . Found out that dome lights horn and controls on steering wheel did not work. Took it in a woodland creature got up in the engine and chewed wires and windshield wiper reservoir. They where able to fix controls but have had to take my van back to them 2 more times because check engine light keeps coming back . They won't replace my car and they would not give me a loaner. I have missed a bunch of days for my full time job and lost my night time job because of them. Never ever again will I ever do business with this company. This place needs to be shut down.

5 months into the loan with the suv and it needs an engine replacement. Although it's covered under the warranty, I am still without a vehicle and yet they expect a payment on a vehicle that is not running. I was told that since I only had the vehicle for a short, I could get into another one, never heard back from anyone about this at all. Very disappointing to deal with this dealership. I've filed both a claim with the Attorney General and with the BBB. They are in the business of selling cars and that's it. What happens with the car after that, unfortunately is what we have to deal with and they don't care! I'm telling all my friends and family to stay away from Oak Motors. There are many other PHPH places.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
