Wasting money: Advertised as high-performance for Rust, but unplayable at 30 FPS due to severely bottlenecked server vCPUs
I subscribed to NVIDIA GeForce NOW specifically to play Rust, a title heavily promoted across all their supported games marketing as running on high-performance RTX rigs. The reality is an absolute disappointment and a complete waste of money. While NVIDIA advertises dedicated RTX graphics and plenty of RAM, they hide the fatal flaw of their Standard/Priority virtual machines: the shared server-grade CPU. Rust (built on Unity) is notorious for relying almost entirely on fast single-core IPC and high clock speeds. NVIDIA slices enterprise multi-core CPUs (low-clocked Intel CC150 / Xeon server chips running at a measly ~2.8 GHz) into virtual machines. While this might handle strictly GPU-bound linear games, it creates a massive, catastrophic CPU bottleneck on open-world survival titles. My real-world empirical testing on a live server: - The in-game framerate is permanently hard-locked between 28 and 35 FPS inside bases and monuments. - Even when dropping EVERY SINGLE setting to absolute minimum (500m draw distance, 0.5 render scale / 540p, shadows disabled, 0 tree meshes, no AA), the FPS does not gain a single frame. This is the textbook definition of a 100% CPU bottleneck. - While the video stream transmits at 60 FPS, the actual game engine is crawling at 30 FPS on their server. - Adding the network stream round-trip latency (~60ms) on top of a 30 FPS engine frametime creates an unbearable, floaty input lag that makes PvP gunfights and basic reactions completely impossible. To make matters worse, their regional partner enforces a strict "no refund" policy under any circumstance. Do not waste your money expecting a smooth 60 FPS competitive experience on CPU-demanding games like Rust. Advertising these virtual machines as "high-performance gaming rigs" for such titles is completely misleading.

Nvidia's recent price hikes..
Nvidia's price hikes make the PC gaming market simply unavailable for everyone. Both Nvidia and AMD have created a duopoly where they simply raise their prices at the same time for the same products. Anyone who fanboys for either company is.. Their recent price hikes for the 5070 RTX from 600EUR to 730 in the span of a week, is the most recent example of this cartel's crimes. I wanted to buy the card and im unable to because it is simply not worth the money after such a huge price hike.. And i even own a 2060 RTX so it is not like i did not put faith in the company. You can find a 5070 that had msrp of 600 EUR on the same price today with a 5070 Ti which is being sold starting 1080 EUR. This is absolutely ridiculous. Vendors are selling the same card in ranges from 600 to 1000 EUR +. And dont get me started on how ASUS sold a 5090 RTX for 5090 USD, not allowing the buyer to keeping the original 4600 USD pricetag. Simply unfathomable, what a clown show.

4 vCPUs and the 1-hour limit ruin modern gaming on GeForce NOW
Dear GeForce NOW Team, I am very disappointed with the current state of the free tier. First, the 1-hour session limit completely ruins gameplay it interrupts immersion and forces players to constantly re-queue. Second, the CPU performance is outdated; 4 virtual cores are not enough anymore, causing lag and stuttering in newer games even on low settings. Older titles run fine, which proves the free tier hardware desperately needs an upgrade for modern gaming. Please reconsider these restrictions and update the CPU specs. Best regards, Kion
