Absolutely love our nestera
Absolutely love our nestera. I initially went for a traditional wooden coop with a small run but very quickly realised that the coop was too small, it was a nightmare to clean and my chickens didn’t want to stay in the run attached or lay eggs I. The boxes. Also the chicken math meant we very quickly decided to get couple more chickens so after much thinking I went and got Nestera large penthouse! It’s a fantastic coop. It was easy to build. I built it single handed in my dining room and only got my husband help to carry it as it’s very heavy! I didn’t not expect that from a plastic coop. It’s super sturdy. Great quality! Cleaning it is an absolute breeze! Do not think and get the dropping trays! It takes me literally couple minutes to clean the coop. It’s easy to remove the cover off nest boxes and get the eggs although we also have egg boxes outside the coop but two of my chickens prefer to lay in the coops boxes. I can highly recommend it this coop. It is pricey but it’s worth it! I spent just over £300 on the wooden coop and wish I just put that towards nestera to start with.

Great products, reasonable delivery timescale and prompt communication. On the expensive side, but so far I would say ‘you get what you pay for’. Easy to build and sturdy when constructed, giving peace of mind for me and comfort for my hens.

An upgrade gone fantastically well!
What can I say, a little about me. My wife and I are new to the chicken game and have only had 4 chickens for around 2 months. We’re so in love with them! We have started with “The Lodge” for our 4 hens and it has worked in all the right ways, super easy to clean, straight forward for wake up and bed time. Since we love our 4 so much, we wanted to expand our flock and it only made sense to look at Nestera for a coop expansion. Which is where I found the Aspen 10! It looked fantastic and ticked all the right boxes for our planned expansion. The website was super easy to navigate, had every possible ounce of information we could think of to make the decision. So we went for it! The order was placed and 2 days later, we had our coop. The instructions were easy to navigate, easy to follow and after 2 1/2 hours by myself, we had our new coop. It looks absolutely fantastic, especially with the Automatic Door! Now my only 2 slight issues, one was regarding safety and the other related to the instructions and parts. As far as the instructions and parts, particularly the screws, nuts, washers etc. I think these could be labelled to make life easier. Now I’m an avid DIYer, so I didn’t have much issue, but, chucking every screw, washer, nuts etc into the same bag, doesn’t help those less DIY inclined. I contacted Nestera with this recommendation and they’ve fed it back to their design team to action! The safety issue lay with the automatic door installation. The screws that comes with the door, appear a bit long, so long that the stick through the coop wall and into the inside of the coop. My concern was feet getting caught on these sharp points. However, again after contacting Nestera, their Customer Service team looked into it and within a few days they had sent me out new, shorter screws which fit perfectly and don’t protrude. Other than this, a HUGE thank you for creating an absolutely fantastic product, that will keep my hens happy and safe.
