Good hardware let down by poor software.
First of all, the good: The belt fits comfortably without slipping and the MZ-3 sensor is sensitive & accurate. Live display in the app of parameters during exercise is good & post-workout record is clear with good use of colour in the graphs. BUT then....the not so good: the app is non-intuitive with incomprehensible symbols, no tooltips or help, and over-busy screens are packed with un-configur-out-able distractions. ANY app needs either intuitive use OR a proper user manual for reference...there is neither here. I've lost several workouts from no autosaves and the difficulty in finding where to perform this basic function. And offering a 'trim' function (to truncate a workoiut from either end) is good, but isn't a substitute for proper 'start' & 'stop' recording functions. The review functions that summarise info from past workouts are ill-thought out with poor configuration options that lead to endless scrolling. And the 'contact other Myzoners you might know' with an endless list of people selected only by living in the same country, is positively CREEPY. I could give much more detail but this isn't the place. This is a review based on my first dozen or so uses of this (MZ-3) device. Of course with more time & familiarity some of the usability problems may diminish: some will clearly remain. A further criticism is that (in common with much of today's new tech) the question "WHY would I want to use this and how does it fit in and communicate data with the ecosystem of other apps or gadgets available and which I may already use?" is not answered. It (BTW, for Americans) is a completely different question to "HOW do I use this?"

Unreliable tech combined with poor customer service
I have been using myzone for over 5 years. Unfortunately the myzone switch I recently purchased has been playing up and the service from myzone has been as poor as the device. Myzone know the device doesn't work properly in any wear positions, so they know the device is faulty. The device is under warranty but the chest strap that comes with the device is not. So, instead of taking responsibility for the device and fixing or replacing it, myzone is hiding behind the fact the chest strip warranty has expired. This makes no sense given the device doesn't work in wear positions without the chest strip. Furthermore, because the faulty device means it's impossible to determine whether or not the chest strap is also faulty, myzone's position is that I need to order another chest strap to test the device i.e. buy more products from the company that sold the faulty product! It's beyond stupid. It seems like there are a lot of reliability issues with the switch, so I would recommend staying away. Cheers

I love tracking my fitness with My…
I love tracking my fitness with My Zone. It helps me understand how my body is being used whilst working out - for example I now understand what my body feels like when my heart is working hard (red zone). My Zone helps me monitor improvements in my fitness levels. I have given a 3 star because My Zone often loses connection when I use it - I would give it a five star if it worked 100% of the time.
