They tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear
I came to Metta as a very general coach who'd just left nineteen years in the music business and had no clear way of saying what I did. They pointed out the obvious thing I'd missed: I was competing with eighty thousand other general coaches when I could be the music veteran who retrained as one. Since then they've helped me define the business, find my voice, build a website I'm pleased with, and widen what I offer from coaching into advising founders. For the first few weeks I dreaded the calls, because I knew I'd be challenged. That changed, and the challenge turned out to be the whole point of it. They don't come in and do it all for you - there's plenty you have to keep doing yourself, but you're doing it with very good people around you, closer to a team of co-founders than an agency. If what you want is to be told you're brilliant, they're not for you. If you want honest advice, I'd recommend them wholeheartedly.

Invaluable Strategy Call!
I came to Carsten & Olga because I was overwhelmed with how to go about turning my idea & the insights gathered into tangible first offerings, with how to plan financials meaningfully, and how to gauge what work to focus on to create the most impact at the start. The prep work they did - especially with the limited information I was able to give them - was honestly amazing & really insightful in terms of pinpointing where my approach was strong, and where it needed revision/was lacking. I felt really taken care of, heard and understood. They outlined a really clear process for me and we planned some tangible next steps that I could take away and action immediately. Carsten was very candid with his responses to all my questions, and I walked away from the call feeling more certain on what needs to be done, with a plan in hand on how to tackle my financials, and three very clear next steps to achieving my first offering & what to do after that. I cannot thank Carsten & Olga enough. I was so impressed with the work they put in, with the care Carsten took in taking me through everything in the call and over all with the value I got out of the call. I would highly recommend them to anybody building their own business. The value they give will help remove so much uncertainty and provide a clear, concise, easy-to-understand structure, which I believe is invaluable when starting out.

MettaStartup Studio is the BEST decision if you want to build your business
I worked in the corporate world for years, yet never held a sales role. I was clueless about how to build a business through selling my services. Signing on with MettaStartupStudio brought a HUGE wave of relief that I found 1) a process to follow, and 2) customized support down to individual conversations. My confidence has soared knowing I have talented and experienced partners who are walking me through this process step-by-step. Plus, Carsten & Olga bring deep compassion and empathy to the process, knowing business building is challenging, constantly raising internal fears and doubts. They meet those fears with understanding (they've gone through it themselves!), help reframe challenges, and then provide tactical next steps for what to focus .

Clarity and confidence
We had a successful trial with 12 clients and then lost momentum and failed to convert any to full time clients, the worst bit was not understanding why. The biggest value from working with Mettastartupstudios has been setting up interviews to actually understand what potential clients would want, in what format, and what they are willing to pay for it. This leads to clarity and confidence, but interestingly a certain level of detachment that makes running a business emotionally easier.

I loved that we got face time with the…
I loved that we got face time with the actual owners of the coaching program as well as their team. It was easy to tell right away that you all know your stuff and present it in a very confident and concise manner, always leaving us with actionable steps to take. The accountability is what kept me on task and up to speed. This was a big part of the program - a program that was intimate and we are not just a number.
