I am on my fourth Mecrob model having…
I am on my fourth Mecrob model having built Necrob, Minerva's Mercy and Aethercore, I am now building Atherwings. Having read the negative reviews, I do understand the frustration of having to wait sometimes a long time for your model but the company do make it clear whether they are stocking up for a new run or have the item in stock. If it is a new model like Noctivane they make it very clear there could be a long wait but usually offer a discount to compensate. The models vary in complexity of build but the more complex do offer a challenge and a degree of adaption and tweaking is often needed. However, as a retired design and technology teacher I have enjoyed building the models immensely and the finished product is very impressive. I have also found their customer support very good. I recommend Macrob without hesitation.

Built Aetherwings first
Built Aetherwings first, so impressed I bought Aethercore kit. The builds are complex but the instructions are easy to follow, and the process is most enjoyable. All parts were there and clearly labelled, with quite a few spares. The only problem I had was the Aethercore electric motor did not work, but Mecrob service dept supplied a replacement very quickly. Thoroughly recommend these products.

Très déçu
Assez déçu par l'achat de l'Aethercore et de l'Aetherwings. Délai de livraison très long. Pièces manquantes (un bon point tout de même pour le service support qui m'a renvoyé ces pièces). Attention, une pièce en verre de l'Aethercore est extrêmement fragile et son remplacement coûte une fortune. Le montage est extrêmement complexe. Par certains aspects la maquette est mal conçue. Le montage de certaines vis nécessite un vrai coup de chance. Le positionnement des engrenages est approximatif. Bref, je ne commanderai plus chez mecrob.

Still waiting for delivery
On March 1, 2026, I ordered the Aethercore and Aetherrotor. The rotor arrived in two weeks. As of April 29, 2026, I am still waiting. A response to my email inquiry said the kits would be in stock mid-April. I have had no further updates from the company. I am concerned that this might be a scam company. The rotor went together well even though there are some challenging tiny parts. The rotor isn’t much good without the core.
