Very disappointing experience from…

Very disappointing experience from beginning to end. The delivery process was honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with an online order. I had to change the delivery because, like most people, I work during the day and cannot stay home indefinitely waiting for a parcel without any proper delivery timeframe or clear communication. Unfortunately, the courier company used was extremely unreliable and difficult to deal with. Throughout the entire process, I received countless emails saying the “tracking status had been updated”, but none of them clearly explained what was actually happening with the parcel. There was no proper communication, no accurate delivery information and no real support. At one point, I redirected the parcel to a UPS Access Point and even received an email confirming that the parcel was ready for collection. However, when I went there, I was told they could not give me the parcel because their system showed that a UPS driver would collect it instead. On another occasion, the parcel was redirected to my neighbour, but the delivery failed because the driver rang the wrong door. The entire process became exhausting and unnecessarily stressful, especially considering customers are paying for delivery. What disappointed me the most, however, was the quality of the products themselves. Several items arrived with visible imperfections, marks and defects, and one of the pots arrived damaged. These products are sold as premium cookware and are far from cheap, so I do not think it is acceptable for them to arrive in this condition. I understand the company describes these as “minor manufacturing imperfections”, but personally I do not agree that products at this price level should have visible flaws from the beginning. Although customer service replied to emails, the actual help provided was minimal. Most of the time I was simply told to contact the courier company myself. In the end, despite all the emails and explanations, I am still left with defective and damaged products after spending a significant amount of money. Overall, this experience left me extremely disappointed, both with the delivery process and the quality control of the products. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. After the company’s response, I would also like to clarify that my main disappointment was never simply the delivery delays, but the overall experience and especially the condition of the products received. The company itself confirmed that the parcels were opened and checked before shipping, meaning the visible imperfections were considered acceptable before being sent to the customer. Considering the total amount paid (around €400 including shipping and customs charges), I personally do not believe this reflects the standards expected from a company presenting itself as premium cookware. Despite many emails exchanged, I am ultimately still left with damaged and visibly imperfect products, which remains the most disappointing part of this experience. Another point that added to the confusion was the inconsistency regarding the delivery company. My order was split into two parcels, and the first parcel was successfully delivered on a Saturday without any issue. This is exactly why I requested the second parcel to also be delivered on a Saturday, as I reasonably assumed this was possible. However, afterwards I was suddenly told that Saturday delivery could not be completed because the carrier had reduced staff or no available drivers. The communication from the delivery company throughout the process was extremely unclear and inconsistent, which made the entire experience even more frustrating.

Nevertheless, we would still like to respond here as well in order to provide a complete and factual clarification. Your review does not accurately reflect your experience with our company, but rather a difficult experience with the carrier. From our side, we fulfilled all of our commitments by responding to your questions and requests promptly throughout the process. Regarding the delivery, it is important to point out that the parcel was not delayed because of our company. The original delivery was changed at your request because you were not available at home. You then specifically requested a Saturday delivery. However, carriers generally operate with reduced staff on Saturdays, which can make some deliveries more difficult or even impossible on that day. Afterwards, you requested that the parcel be redirected to a UPS Access Point, before changing your choice again to a delivery to one of your neighbours. This attempt also failed, as the driver was unable to complete the delivery. The delivery complications therefore mainly resulted from the multiple delivery modifications and the carrier’s management of the parcel, rather than from our company. Regarding the imperfections mentioned, the various issues occurred after multiple delivery attempts and repeated handling of the parcel by the carrier, who was unable to deliver it under normal conditions. These repeated manipulations notably resulted in the handle of one casserole pot being damaged. As soon as you informed us of this issue, our after-sales service replied within a very short timeframe, approximately 20 minutes after your email. In our message dated April 29th, we offered to replace the damaged casserole pot with a brand-new one. To proceed, we simply requested the information required by UPS in order to open a transport claim. Unfortunately, our email remained unanswered. Several days later, you contacted us again to ask about the status of the claim, but without providing the requested information. On May 13th, we still attempted to verify whether it was still possible to open a claim for your parcel, which had been delivered several weeks earlier. UPS unfortunately confirmed that the claim deadline had expired and that it was no longer possible to initiate the procedure. We fully understand your disappointment regarding the delivery experience, but it is important to distinguish responsibilities clearly. The delivery delays and complications were linked to the successive delivery changes and the issues encountered with UPS. From our side, we properly handled your after-sales request, proposed a concrete solution and requested the necessary elements to process the case. Without these elements, it was unfortunately impossible for us to open a claim with UPS, as they were mandatory requirements from the carrier. We sincerely regret this situation, however we cannot accept being held responsible for complications caused by the carrier or by the absence of the required information needed to process your case.
