We liked the app until we had a very disturbing experience. One of our children was suddenly kicked out of our family circle and replaced with another person who is not part of our family. We don’t know this person. My daughter recently had a phone number change, and forgot to change her number in her Life360 app. Suddenly, this new person appears in our circle and she has been kicked out. When she opens her app, she is not part of any circle suddenly. Everything is blank. I try to get that new person out of our circle and I can’t because they are the admin (even though the subscription is paid for by me as the parent!) It became clear once she updated her phone number in settings and our circle took out the stranger and reinstated her, that he old number got assigned to someone else in our area, and they logged into Life360 for the first time. Because that number was still connected to our daughter’s account, Life360 overrode her and replaced her with the stranger. I am absolutely shocked that the only piece of information that they needed to become a part of our family circle was that phone number!!! There was no verification through email. There was no text code verification, to confirm they were joining the correct account. There was absolutely nothing to verify that the phone number belonged in our family circle. The stranger did not have any access to her login information to Life360. I have screenshots of everything. This was disturbing and a huge breach of our privacy and security. Later as we investigated, we discovered that an email did come into our daughter’s email alerting her that she had logged in from a different device and if it wasn’t her, she needed to change her password. That’s all it said. There was no request to give a code or anything. I still cannot fathom how putting in a random phone number can connect you to someone else’s Life360 account without a secondary verification. The basis should be login credentials and two-step verification for something as sensitive as GPS location data. NOT just a phone number. We could plainly see where this other person was located (about 30 minutes away from us actually and showed the exact address and house number!) The photo of the person clearly showed a minor. We deactivated our circles, deactivated our individual accounts, ended our paid subscription and deleted the app immediately. I tried to call Life360, but there is no number provided. I waited in a chat for an hour ti speak to customer service with no response.Beware! The safety concerns of this app are far greater than the help if could provide.

It really is a terrible experience
It really is a terrible experience. Obviously they want you to upgrade to a paid version but within minutes of signing up and being bombarded with their paid plans and having to log in twice I suddenly say a popup thanking me for 7 days free use and thereafter £9.99. I could uninstall quick enough. Appalling.

My daughter was in an accident…
My daughter was in an accident yesterday traveling at 65 MPH. We PAY for Gold Membership for the purpose of crash detection, and were never notified! I’m very disappointed. Reaching Life 360 to get a reason or cancel is impossible. Life 360 is worthless. I have 2 teenagers on the road, and if they are in accidents and I pay to be notified and they let me down, I don’t think it’s worth the service. My iPhone can track them.
