⭐⭐ 2/5 First off, Andreas is a genuinely nice and knowledgeable guy. He clearly knows the field, he's responsive, and the weekly free content he sends out is decent. But the Academy itself didn't match the price for me. Most courses are quite basic, closer to mini introductions to various data engineering topics than actual deep dives. A lot of the material is essentially guidance on where to go learn things yourself rather than teaching them directly. If you've already worked with SQL, Python, or any cloud platform, you'll find little here you couldn't get from free documentation and YouTube. To be fair, the structure and the learning roadmap could be useful for someone starting completely from scratch who wants an overview of the field. But for anyone with existing experience, the depth just isn't there, and I don't think the price is justified by what's actually offered. What I'd want to see is fewer topics covered more deeply and real end-to-end projects with production concerns (testing, monitoring, cost)

Excellent course
As someone with little experience in the field of data engineering, I have really appreciated Andreas' approach to explaining the fundamentals and building solid foundations for the course. The content is structured logically and builds towards the eventual payoff of hands-on projects. Highly recommended!

Well, I would have to tell this is the most superficial course I have seen. This course basically doesn't teach you Python, but it tells you where you can learn Python, and we would not pay $300 just to know where to learn it. We would want the instructor to teach it firstly, so as a result I have requested a refund, but there is no option for me to even click refund or contact them. This is a very, very bad choice.
