The joy of searching and finding
I had been poring over the vintage guitar scene for months, determined to seek out an all original early Fender instrument. In my search I consulted both European as well as overseas (Japan, US) dealers. I strictly wanted to deal with someone with the insight into-and appreciation for the fine details of vintage guitars, someone with integrity. I knew to be cautious about counterfeits or modified instruments, which especially online is a menace. Therefore the right dealer with the right touch was non-negotiable for me. Dries at Know Your Vintage is such a person. Besides dealing in vintage guitars, amps and effects he also is into collectible watches. But as I found out, or came to deem it, really he is a merchant and purveyor of timeless beauty. What to me made Dries of Know Your Vintage stand out from his peer group, was his personal approach to the selection of "just that one" fantastic guitar or watch. He travels far and wide to bring into the light these marvels of musicianship or timekeeping. In the course of my sale, he did not pitch the facets of this or that to me, no, he just kept affirming how this instrument I had my eyes on was a magical thing, unbeatable, outside of any comparison with fables of nowadays customshop remakes. Videos of sound quality were made, questions duly answered, but more than anything it was hammered home, that this was a rare and fantastic instrument. I warmly recommend this boutique dealer, trust him to pick out only the authentic and wonderful things of the receeding past.

One of the best vintage buying experiences in Europe
I had the pleasure to buy a 1965 Gibson SG in wonderfull original condition from Dries and I couldn‘t be happier with the overall shopping experience. First of all it is by far the best guitar i owned regarding the craftmensship of the old time (take a look at this quality gibson;-)) but also sound and playability. And it was wunderfull prepared and setup by Dries, you really feel his passion for vintage instruments and his customer centric behaviour. Picking up the guitar in Belgium was like visiting a good friend and seeing all this wonderfull old instruments in the shop was quiet impressive. Overall i could highly reconmend this shop, from the beginning of the communication over the buying process up to getting the instrument it worked perfect.
