Building a Professional Listing Site with JReviews
I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve spent a little over a year trying different WordPress listing plugins, from popular free ones to those flashy $60 to $80 listing themes that look nice on the surface but are painfully limited once you dig deeper. Then I found JReviews. Don’t be fooled by its modest appearance. Honestly, the WordPress demo doesn’t do it justice. But once you “open the hood,” you’re greeted with an incredibly powerful, well-designed engine capable of powering a truly professional, real-world listing website. Within days of switching to JReviews, I noticed improvements in my Google rankings, and that’s without even using an additional SEO plugin. JReviews comes with professional-grade SEO features I haven’t seen in any other plugin. For example, you can have a category with one internal name, but display a completely different, SEO-optimized H1 title on the page. (e.g., your category could be “Apartments” while your H1 says “Find Affordable Apartment Listings”, simple but extremely effective for SEO.) Then there’s Click2Search, which turns any custom field into a clickable, fully SEO-optimized search link. It’s brilliant, and the possibilities are endless. Honestly, there are far too many features to cover here. The documentation is excellent, the community forum is active, and ticket support is fast and helpful. You never feel alone while building your listings portal. This is a fully customizable plugin with real power. It is second to none and built so you can compete with the big names in today’s market. The front end can be customized to be more beautiful and user-friendly than any ready-made listing theme you can buy. If you’re serious about building a directory or review website, this is the tool you need. JReviews is for serious players who mean business.

A beautiful 'beast' backed up by outstanding support
Hi there reader! My name is Alex, a long time user of Jreviews. Just because I don't know your name I will call you JD (John Doe or Jane Doe), hope you don't mind:) So JD, let's get started! You are probably debating of whether you should be a part of Jreviews or not. I will try to create a general picture of what you might be getting yourself into. *Functionality First of all, this piece of software is a truly powerful CCK (content construction kit) loaded with a rich list of functionalities by default, a lot of them I have discovered myself on the journey. This is why, as a recommendation for you JD I would suggest to set up a plan before starting to actually build your website and check before if what you need is already present in the existent functionalities. Unless your list of 'wishes' is very, very specific the chances are that you are covered or even better. You might want to go to the demo website (front and admin) to have a better look of how you might approach your building process. The beauty of Jreviews is that covers every type of user: beginner, intermediate and advanced. In case you need to add an extra bit of sparkling to your website in terms of functionality or design and have no clue of how to do that I would suggest to search the forum where there are posted many tips and tricks. There is a dedicated forum page especially for that. No luck there JD? Asking in the forum or directly through a private ticket are the way to go then. From what I have seen and experienced the answers come quickly and with a solution. If you have html/css knowledge and maybe just a bit of javascript and php the things get easier for you. You can dive more into custom theming and templating. It's a joy to see how your custom theme can transform. Are you a developer JD? Congratulations then! You just hit the jackpot! Jreviews is so powerful and highly approachable. You can extend the functionality easily and go wherever your skills allows. Furthermore, Jreviews includes an impressive debug tool. I'm not a developer myself, but even if I can understand what most of the code does that says something about how clean the code is. *Ease of use Some people find using Jreviews a bit challenging, having a learning curve due to the extensive features but that's normal. On the admin side there is even a setting search implemented which proves itself very helpful. If you get stuck somewhere along the road, don't worry, Alejandro will be there for you and will show you the way. On a personal note, I feel like I'm still discovering bits and pieces from time to time. *Support From my point of view, the level of support received is absolutely essential. No matter how good a joomla extension might be, I can't stress enough the importance of getting help when you need it. Alejandro is actively backing up his product in a professional manner every day. Although customisations are not officially supported, many times Alejandro 'forgets' that and offers guidance or even some solutions. Isn't that something?! Of course you shouldn't be asking for the moon either;). What I'm trying to say JD, is that you will be cared for and you will feel it. Another thing I love about the support is that Alejandro has the right mind set about how to help people. If you get into an issue, a conflict or a potential bug, which is normal, he doesn't automatically says that it's not Jreviews causing it, he actually tries to help you and investigates the problem himself if you can't get to the bottom of it. Sometimes you might want a super magical feature (I want those the most). You may ask for it but if not possible Alejandro won't go around circles and make false promises. You'll get an honest and direct answer. I respect that! I have to mention the community around Jreviews which I find it pretty active and helpful as well. Thank you guys, you rock! *Documentation An extensive documentation is provided which I recommend to be read at least once very attentive before starting your journey. You will not only get answers to usually frequent questions but you will start discovering ways of getting things done better. There are practical, useful examples of how to use it as well which will make your life easier down the road. *Value for money That depends on each one's affordability I reckon. But putting together the product and the support offered I encourage you to give it at least a try. I think there is as well a 30 day money back guarantee for your peace of mind which would give you a better chance to evaluate the extension. Reading through the reviews myself I have noticed people saying the price goes to the higher end, others saying they got more than they payed for, but none was complaining about the investment. I won't do that neither:) Now it's your turn JD. What is going to be? I already know the answer but I won't tell:)

High quality versatile directory extension with great support!
I have been using Joomla going back to the mid-2000s and have, over the years, tried many of the popular directory building extensions out there. I have to say hands down JReviews is the best I have used and will the be only one I use going forward. It is feature-packed and extremely versatile. You can build practically any type of directory to your imagination's liking. The demo site, support, and documentation are tops too. The developer is super quick to respond and point you in the right direction when you need help. I first came across JReviews because I wanted to prototype a directory website for an organization I worked with at the time. Literally, our company's price to custom build a similar app using in-house developers with our fancy-schmancy enterprise CMS solution was astronomical. This experience, however, inspired me to launch my own community living guides using JReviews. I am fairly convinced when people check out the sophistication of the living guide I am building, they assume I have a large team of developers making it all happen. My secret is I have JReviews. I highly recommend JReviews if you are contemplating building any type of directory or content guide-oriented website. JReviews is an extremely great value for the money and the support is excellent.
