Great Producer
Johan guided us over the course of several months and played a crucial role in shaping our EP. With great sensitivity, professional input, and clear support at exactly the right moments, he helped optimize the songs and give them their final polish. His experience and attentive ear made the entire process not only productive but also inspiring. In the end, we are more than satisfied with the result – without him, the EP wouldn’t be what it is today.

Embracing the song
Johan was involved in various music production stages of three of my songs, including: Audio design, arrangement, feedback sessions, drum recording, recording advice, mixing. He really took his time for each song, doing multiple zoom sessions for each one and providing as many revisions as needed, even with elements being swapped out in the middle of the mixing stage. Although he presents himself as a producer focussing primarily on alt pop, he had no issues mixing my tracks to suit an electronic/club mix, always having the target audience in mind while mixing. He ultimately was able to bring out every single layer of each song, shaping them in a dynamic and creative way, without ever losing the identity of the original demo. 100% Recommended!

Habe von Johan unsere erste EP mit 5 Songs mastern lassen. Er hat mir nochmal vor dem Mastern Tipps gegeben, welche Spuren ich im Mix bearbeiten soll, damit er beim Master mehr rausholen kann und hat mir das im Detail für jeden Song bei einem einstündigen Videotelefonat gezeigt. Auch noch eine weitere Feedbackschleife und Absprache war kein Problem. Alles hat sehr gut funktioniert und Johan macht einen sehr positiven und professionellen Eindruck.

Amazing producer and invested creative mind
We (the band "80cmBrett") worked with Johan on the recording and production of our first EP. As a newcomer band, we found Johan to be an excellent musical and technical adviser who helped us to get the best sound quality and guided us through the recording process. As well as preparing thoroughly for the recording sessions, he constantly gave us constructive and creative input and allowed us to appreciate things from a different angle, which upgraded the final product immensely. Beside the technical and production aspects, it was really enjoyable working with Johan on a personal and social level, and it felt like working with a trusted friend of the band. We had the impression that he understood our ideas and the feel of our music, and as well as the “standard” indie-rock instruments (guitar, drums, bass), we were also able to record a string quartet in a professional manner. We had several listening/mixing sessions after the recording, which never felt rushed. Johan was really supportive and offered simple ways to meet our expectations, especially during the final phase of the production. He often came up with practical solutions to realise our (sometimes vague) new ideas, and gave our music a new dimension without us surrendering any creative control. Additionally, he gave us sound advice on our release strategy. Afterwards, we evaluated the project and the work with him, and we gained a great deal of knowledge to improve our future recordings. All in all, we really enjoyed working with Johan and we are more than happy to have chosen him for this EP.

Hi,I am RHUE, and I am musician based in Vienna, Austria. So when I started working with Johan, I instantly felt that he "gets" the idea of my Songs. Very often you have big egos in this industry and some producers try to push their ideas forward no matter if it serves the song or not. Especially as a female artist it was and still is a nice experience to have the full package of an exceptional producer, musician and sound designer who actually listens to the client, comes up with different ideas and really wants to use the full potential of the songs. I enjoy working with Johan so much and love what he is doing with and for my songs.
