No refund given despite tracked return
Returned a handrail bracket to order one in a different colour. Package was tracked and proved to have been delivered and no refund issued. Several emails sent about it and none of them answered. Very poor and m they still owe me money. Do not use this company. They also have an Etsy page. Beware.

I have had a very bad experience with Iron Mongery world and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would recommend that you phone in first to check what you want is in stock and the website will say they have, so you place your order pay your money and then get a email a day or so later say it has been dispatched but unfortunately this may not be correct which is what happened to me. Then you phone up and you are told that they hope to have your order in soon, then another week goes by and the same answer again. So I asked to cancelled my order after two weeks and asked for a full refund. Then another two weeks and phone calls and was told they are dealing with and excuse after excuse and promises to call me back but nothing until i gets a email say it has been dispatched so I call again to find out what’s going on and was told it’s to late as it’s in the post and I would have to send it back to get my refund and they would email me a return label which I still haven’t got after two days. By the way I got the same item which was a letter box plate from a company called SD Hardware and cheaper. I find this company has a lack of communication between there staff and the customer.

Bad communication.
Placed an order for next day delivery as it was in stock. It turns out this was not the case and I have waited over a week now the communication was not good no email from them with regards where the order was.

The personal touch from Customer Service
I was looking for a particular item that met certain size criteria, so I used the contact form to ask if they had something that met my needs. I got a quick response and two suggestions from their range were brough to my attention. I chose the one I liked but needed more information, so I telephoned and spoke with a polite woman who quickly sorted out my query. The order was placed the same day and arrived after the same weekend, well packaged and exactly what I was after. The kind service and care taken was encouraging, so I shall no doubt be buying from them again.
