They shave overcrowded teeth down into Turkey teeth to fit your trays! Celebrate your real teeth, have braces, or get real crowns/veneers!
Dentists and orthodontists don’t tell you their dirty secret. Interproximal Reduction (IPR) is a fancy term for “we shave your teeth down by less than 1 mm.” The “good” shavings give you freak show narrow straighter teeth almost pegs to fit the trays and shift better. The botched jobs online shave your teeth into actual pegs like the worst of Turkey teeth. Check out the overzealous dentists who claim “0.5 mm” was removed, and it’s more like 1+ mm. The new damaged teeth get pressured into alignment to hide them. You risk needing future crowns, root canals, and/or dental implants with ruined enamel. The rodent peg teeth will reappear when your teeth move post Invisalign if anything happens, and it always will. 0.25-1 mm is a lot. In the theatrical world, it makes the difference between pretty human pupils or Gollum pupils for VFX. Yes, teams on big movies use mm for reference on prosthetic teeth, monster/realism contact lenses, all digital eyes, and custom makeup. Read on to see why this is a huge don’t! I found out from research as I had an interest in Invisalign. Of course peg teeth are going to shift into alignment more easily! If I’m going to destroy my real teeth, get me a perfect Hollywood smile with veneers/crowns and at least protect my superhuman teeth. Lots of sneaky dentists want you having Invisalign before crowns/veneers. Do not fall for this gimmick. Your treat is the real teeth being destroyed and weakened, then you wear retainers for the rest of your life, at least decades from now until your damaged new pegs with exposure from removed enamel held close together need dental implants. If you’re going for the fake route, go right to the fake. Don’t be fooled into charged the cost of veneers to destroy your teeth for “straightening” that’s only going to be nubs shifting your new fake teeth back without a retainer! I’m so glad I found out from multiple clinics before this because for years, nobody told me this. I Googled and looked on Reddit, seeing horror movie teeth like giant zombie bunny rabbits from the grave. Those were some of the better jobs. Ignoring what the teeth look like, shaving any enamel down used to be seen as barbaric without a crown/veneer for protection. Good grief, what do you think is going to happen? You need uncomfortable, unsanitary retainers every night or your new “finished! straight” teeth shift back as fast as a week after Invisalign or braces. Is this how you want to live? Multiple 8 hours by the amount of days you know. I had one top retainer and it smelled so bad. It was impossible to use post braces. I can’t imagine Invisalign with wrecked gerbil teeth forced together. Shame on any dental professional providing this as an alternative to braces. My teeth shifted after braces because my ortho never gave me a bottom retainer or a good top one, but they’re human looking, real teeth. I won’t be using this scary system! Think of a plastic surgeon suggesting we shave down your arm and force the muscle and tissue in place with a brace system you wear, then a nightly cast for life so your muscle man arm doesn’t reveal the truth underneath. That doctor would lose his licence. Dentists and orthodontists don’t just sell this con, they sell it to teens’ parents as a harmless fix over the better braces! DO NOT AGREE! One week without retainers, one month at most waiting on a broken retainer, your new “straight” teeth will reveal the Turkey teeth when they revert back to their crooked form. Permanent metal retainers collect gunk and cause plenty of people’s teeth to break or suffer damage, when they aren’t breaking off. It’s a lose either way. Do you want to be 55 years old with gapped peg rodent teeth, or with a mouth full of dental implants or dentures because you agreed to having them shaved down for Invisalign at 18? Don’t think Invisalign is invisible as marketed. Many dentists/orthos give you brackets in front to hold them up. They look like the ugly white braces that stain easily. Everyone can see them. Don’t fall for dentists asking you to remove back teeth. Unless they are wisdom teeth, tell them like American Idol, that’s gonna be a no from you, hot dog. Your teeth are going to Hollywood to get a real smile makeover, or staying real and fabulous. 😀 That’s the other thing people do with Invisalign, insist on removing other back teeth to make room! Ask a family friend’s ex girlfriend how that went. She had multiple surgeries and dental implants after doing that. It doesn’t matter how famous your dentist is, just say no to everything in this review with Invisalign. Whatever can go wrong, will. The dentists you meet aren’t going to promote unhappy patient tales. They want agreeable people who don’t realise the long term harm being done. Love yourself. You wouldn’t saw off your nose for a pretty glue on prosthetic nose.

Bereid je vooraf goed voor!
Informatie vooraf is heel positief. Pijnloos, hooguit wat drukgevoel, een AI foto van het eindresultaat haalt je snel over de streep. Alle bitjes worden in 1x geleverd, dus moeten worden betaald. Ruim 3000 euro. Er werd vooraf niets gezegd over attachments of elastiekjes en over de keiharde, scherpe bitjes. Na een dag dragen mijn hele mond kapot, de randen waren scherp en er zaten zelfs gemene haakjes aan de bovenkant. Na bijwerking door de ortho, dir hier zichtbaar van schrok, nog steeds hard en scherp. Na een paar dagen niet meer kunnen eten en de onderkant van mijn tong dik en bloedend door de harde binnenranden. Ik heb alle attachments laten verwijderen en de bitjes in een hoek gegooid. 3400 euro armer. Ik had me beter moeten inlezen maar ook graag meer realisme bij de voorlichting! Bitjes in fases leveren en betalen in plaats van alles tegelijk. Ik ben heel opgelucht dat ik gestopt ben, want niets aan dit voelt goed.

Still waiting for the promised case
My son is currently using Invisalign, and when we received his aligners, there was a promotion offering a complimentary Invisalign case. We submitted the information back in January, but never received a confirmation email or order number. Since then, I have contacted customer service multiple times. In February, I was told there had been delays. In March, I was told they were still waiting and had no updates. We are now in mid-June, and I still have no case, no confirmation, and no answers. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication. I have called the numbers provided, left my information through the Invisalign website, and tried every contact option I could find, but no one responds. The case itself is not the issue. What is frustrating is making customers spend months following up without any communication or way to get support. A simple update or response would go a long way.

Déception totale.
Bonjour, Je rejoins tout le monde. Le traitement par goutières est décevant! 4 ans au lieu de 2, plus une opération de la mâchoire inférieure pour la réaligner et au final un résultat qui est une véritable déception. Effectivement par rapport au point de départ les dents sont remises en place. Mais en ce qui concerne l'alignement c'est zero. Malgré mes avertissements auprès de mon orthodontiste sur le fait que je vois, et sens, que mes dents ne sont pas totalement alignées, ce dernier m'assure que tout est parfait et que l'on ne peut pas aller plus loin en terme de traitement orthodontique. Le prix? 60000 euros. J'aurais mieux fait de mettre des bagues. J'aimerai savoir ce que vous avez fait auprès de votre orthodontiste pour réclamer ou revoir le traitement afin d'avoir un alignement parfait? Merci de vos réponses.
