predatory subscription model offering very little value
I had not used this service for a long time, but discovered that they were still charging my account. On the same day they charged me for another year, I contacted them immediately and politely asked them to cancel my membership and refund the payment due to my account being inactive. Unfortunately, they refused to issue a refund. Most reputable companies would be reasonable when a customer has not been using the service and requests cancellation immediately after an unexpected renewal. In my experience, this feels like another predatory subscription model offering very little value. I will now be opening a PayPal dispute to recover the payment.

Simply sad how greed destroys everything
Sad, that greed had to destroy a nice community... It basically died here at the location I have been making new friends in the past. Hope you enjoy your downfall, whoever is on the top and is banking in now till the shit dies off... At the end -> THANKS FOR NOTHING!

greatful but to expensive
Even if im greatful to partake in some of the activeties over the last few years - the price for full membership is way to high. I fully support platform fee and cost to cover maintenance. However the app seldom work as intended and has some quirks which has been ongoing for years. Ex. is chat function is bugged, clicking backwards button on android phone leaves the app hanging, or it shuts down the app rather then going back one page. Back to the cost aspects of the platform. I do find spending nearly over 100 euro a year to be way to stiff. This espesicaly since you also have additional cost for events tickets (external events) which is requiers to attend. Latter I'm fine as any events the hosts find is external. Though then the combined cost is where my issues lays .

Used to be ok in some big cities like Milan, but subscription is crazy, if you don't want to pay anymore and then resubscribe they don't let you becuase you have to pay all missing invoices, is a scam policy, and app is not flexible cannot browse events around is not designed how is supposed to be used i think, appa like nomad table works much better even if is different target audience

Scam company. They've gotten worse and more desperate by the year trying to milk their members. I'm pretty sure I turned off auto renew but I still got charged an annual membership. I complained about it a day after and asked for a refund because they charge you even when you turned off auto renew but I never got a refund - they made up some BS. Now in 2026, they also now want to charge you just to view or change communities. IMO all these unpaid volunteers are just being used by them for the "privilege and status" of being an "ambassador." More like they are a bunch of "useful idiots" spending time to organise these events to funnel money to the owners while they stupidly work for free . I recently went to Tokyo Internations organised by "Ambassador aka useful idiot" Mariya . She is rude, unfriendly and unprofessional - the worst consul and ambassador I've ever met in any country. No smile, no greeting to most guests, except she spent a whole lot of time flirting with one guy and ignored most others. No wonder the event had a terrible turn out -2 years ago the same event was a full house, now it barely had 20 people.
