Shady and useless
Update: I am now being inundated with sales calls and emails from a bunch of insurance services. This is not what I signed up for. I had heard of Lending Tree before and assumed they were a reputable company. The process started by asking for a significant amount of personal information to provide quotes for cheaper insurance rates. After completing the form, I was directed to a page with a list of links to various insurance companies, each with a "View My Rate" button. However, upon clicking these links, I was taken to new websites that asked for the same information I had already provided. This experience left me feeling suspicious and questioning whether Lending Tree is a legitimate service or a scam designed to collect people's personal data. Even if it isn't a scam, the service appears to be of little value. Instead of providing actual quotes or assistance in finding lower rates, Lending Tree simply redirects users to other insurance websites where they must input their information again. This process could have been done independently without going through Lending Tree's platform. In conclusion, I found Lending Tree's service to be disappointing and potentially untrustworthy. It did not deliver on its promise to help find cheaper insurance rates and instead felt like an unnecessary middleman in the process.

Seems like a scam site
Seems like a scam site. I trusted the "lendingtree" part but now I worry! Supposedly they were an insurance broker and would get quotes from multiple insurance companies. They gathered my information and instead of giving me actual quotes they just gave me links to insurance company pages where I could reenter all the same information. Like Google could not do that without me having to enter PII! So I was stupid! I gave my name, address, birthday, and e-mail to god knows who.:(
