The World Of Ragus
I moved to Horus Music about two weeks ago after spending roughly a year with another distributor. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with my previous provider, but over time I realised that their direction and the way they handled distribution no longer really matched what I wanted for my music. As a small independent artist, I was looking for more flexibility, particularly when it came to choosing stores and reaching specialist electronic music and DJ platforms. I also wanted to know that if something went wrong or I had a question, there would actually be someone I could talk to. Before signing up, I contacted Horus with a fairly detailed list of questions about their service, stores, catalogue migration and the way I wanted to handle my releases. I received a detailed and very helpful response that answered my questions properly rather than simply trying to sell me a subscription. Registration itself was straightforward, and shortly afterwards I started migrating my existing catalogue. Moving an entire catalogue from one distributor to another obviously creates questions and the occasional hurdle. What impressed me most was not that absolutely everything magically happened without a single issue, but how Horus handled every question or issue that came up. Responses have consistently been incredibly quick, detailed and helpful. I never felt that I was receiving an automated or AI-generated response that vaguely addressed my question. There was clearly a real person on the other end who had actually read what I had written and understood what I needed. That makes an enormous difference. Throughout the catalogue migration I always knew what was happening and what I needed to do next. When something needed changing, I was told exactly what and why. When I had questions, I received clear answers. This made what I had expected to be a rather stressful catalogue migration surprisingly easy to manage. Most importantly, the distribution itself has delivered exactly what I had been looking for. My releases and EPs have appeared across the relevant streaming services as well as the specialist download and DJ stores that matter to me, including Beatport and other electronic music platforms. I have also had two rights-management situations that needed attention. One involved cleaning up/whitelisting my YouTube channel during the migration, and another involved allowlisting my SoundCloud artist profile because I manage and upload my SoundCloud releases myself. Both were dealt with extremely quickly and professionally. In the SoundCloud case, Horus had my profile allowlisted almost immediately, allowing me to resolve the resulting copyright issue with SoundCloud without any further complications. For a large established artist, perhaps having access to responsive support is simply expected. For a very small independent artist like me, however, it has enormous value. You want to spend your time making and releasing music rather than worrying whether something has gone wrong somewhere in the distribution chain. Knowing that I can ask Horus a question and receive a proper, detailed answer from a real person gives me a huge amount of confidence. A special shoutout and thank you to Alara, Matt and Niall for their seemingly endless patience with my questions and for being consistently friendly and helpful throughout the process. It really is appreciated. After these first two weeks, I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with my decision to move to Horus Music. I wasn't simply looking for another place to upload my music; I was hoping to find a distributor I could work with long-term. So far, I feel that I have found exactly that. I'm looking forward to a long and hopefully equally enjoyable collaboration with the Horus team — and to giving them plenty more releases to deal with in the future.:) Thanks and best regards from Munich, Stefan The World Of Ragus

I would not recommend Horus Music based on my experience. My profile was suspended because Horus claimed I had repeatedly submitted content without addressing previous rejection reasons. I contacted them on **August 3** asking for clarification about which releases and rejection issues caused the suspension, but I have not received a proper response. I then contacted them again on **August 10** to formally request the **complete removal of my catalog**, including the releases and associated services such as YouTube Content ID and rights management. Again, I have not received a satisfactory response or confirmation that my catalog will be removed. I understand that distributors have policies and that releases can be rejected, but customers should at least receive clear explanations and timely support when they are trying to resolve an issue or leave the platform. Being unable to get a clear response while also having difficulty getting my own catalog removed has been extremely frustrating. **1/5 — Very disappointing customer service and communication.**

I have dealt with so many distributors in the last 4 to 6 but since the time I started working with Horus Music had best experience, I had best experience. I have been in touch with Hina & Aditya and they are just a call away. Incase of urgencies, I have also reached out to them on weekends but they did not hesitate to offer help & support. They have amazing services which supports artist from distribution to playlist pitching.

Delayed payments and payment processing errors are becoming all too frequent. The support team seemingly do their best, but I suspect mismanagement of the company overall. Blame is often passed, but sadly, trust has been lost. I can no longer recommend Horus Music Distribution.

No royalties this month as well, at this point I’m not even shocked, now they are coming up with some bullshit excuse about PayPal not processing royalties. Give me my money Don’t use HORUS

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
