Scam-like tactic: they cancelled my booking to resell it at a higher price
Avoid Holidu. They cancelled my confirmed reservation only a few days before arrival, using an alleged payment problem as an excuse. The payment deadline had not even expired, and I was still within the valid period to complete the payment. I believe they deliberately took advantage of the situation to cancel my reservation and offer the property to other tourists at a higher price. In other words, once they realised they could make more money from the same accommodation, my confirmed booking suddenly became disposable. This left my family without accommodation just before our trip. Booking.com did almost nothing to help and offered us a more expensive property approximately 45 kilometres from the beach, even though our original accommodation was only around 300 metres from the sea. I eventually had to find an alternative myself through Airbnb. To me, this is scam-like behaviour. Read the other reviews before booking, because many customers appear to describe the same tactic: an alleged payment problem, an arbitrary last-minute cancellation, and the property being made available again at a higher price. Do not trust Holidu with your holiday.

Avoid Holidu at all costs
Avoid Holidu at all costs. We booked a villa based on explicit, written reassurance from a Holidu customer service agent confirming the property featured a private outdoor pool. This was a flat-out lie to get our money.Upon arrival, we discovered there is no pool and never has been. The host was lovely and explicitly confirmed that Holidu completely falsified her listing data across the internet. When we immediately reported this massive breach of contract, Holidu's insulting automated AI chatbot trapped us in endless loops, completely missed the point, and automated a stressful complaint against our innocent host instead of providing human help. People work incredibly hard all year to save up for a single week away with their family. Instead of enjoying a chilled, relaxed holiday at the villa, we spent critical holiday hours trapped fighting a customer service bot, and we were forced to constantly drive around in a foreign country, spending significant extra money out of our own pockets on beach parking and sun lounger rentals just to access water. When humans finally took over the case days later, they showed absolutely zero empathy for the immense stress and disappointment they caused my family. They treated us like an annoying inconvenience rather than a defrauded customer. They flatly refused a full refund, gave us an impossible ultimatum to vacate mid-stay during peak July high season when there are zero alternatives, and forced a completely inadequate €334.61 formula on us that doesn't even cover our baseline daily out-of-pocket expenses to replace the amenity they lied about. This is a disgraceful, deceitful platform. They ruined our hard-earned holiday, left us financially penalized for their own system errors, and possess zero corporate empathy. We will absolutely never use this company again.

AVOID HOLIDU
Still staying in rental apartment in Malaga. Had to contact management company again last night as the electricity went off again. Had to reactivate using tripswitch yet again. An electrician had come that morning and claimed to have identified the problem as a faulty socket on the roof balcony. We were told not to use it. We did not use it. Today when we contacted the management company they pivoted once again. They told us we are using electricity in apartment incorrectly and causing the outages! These people are truly outrageous. I am concerned the place is at risk of electrical fire. I will need to establish the relevant Spanish authorities to report this to. I am not an electrician but this does not feel right. Meanwhile all our woes we are being told we have brought upon ourselves. Whether this holds up in an arbitration hearing will be determined into the future. In the meantime please avoid this company as it has seriously interfered with our enjoyment of our annual family holiday.

Absolut miserabler Kundenservice
Absolut miserabler Kundenservice. Bin Gastgeber und versuche seit 26.05.2026 eine Lösungen für Probleme mit Holidu zu bekommen. Bis heute (12.06.) keine Reaktion von Holidu. Stornierungswünsche werden nicht bzw. nur schleppend bearbeitet. So etwas kann ich meinen Gästen nicht zumuten. Werde alle Objekte löschen.

I should have come here first and read these reviews.. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR PROPERTY!!!! It's best to suffer with just Airbnb or Booking.com 😣 DON'T PUT HOLIDU ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR PROPERTY.. WE HAVE LOST, GUEST CANT FIND PROPERTY, NO WAY TO CONTACT US, AND THAT 150€ ONBOARDING FEE IS TOO HIGH.
