Ironic that a mindfulness company would cause this much stress
This is the second time this year Headspace has overcharged me. The first time was earlier this year when I renewed for a promotional price of £24.99 and I was charged £74.99. I eventually received a refund after much back and forth with the complaints team. I was hit with the "Although we typically do not issue refunds for subscription purchases, I am happy to help out as a one-time courtesy." Charming. The second time was July this year I was charged £49.99 out of the blue. I can clearly see on my account that my auto-renew is set to off, and is set to expire Feb-2027. There is no excuse for this and blatantly seems fraudulent to me.

Poor tech support
Really interesting, some years ago an annual subscription started to fail, as in good content but would not download. They insisted on payment despite problems I then reported to Apple, they did not support me. The content brilliant, but the supporting tech nil. I was actually thinking of subscribing again until I read these reviews which is obviously ongoing in disappointment.

Headspace has lost sight of it's mission
I have enjoyed and found the headspace meditation offerings extremely helpful. By that I mean the lessons of primarily Andy Puddicombe. Headspace five years ago merged with a multibillion dollar company that is trying to push mental health therapy, mostly focused on large compamies. To this end they have sidelined the original mission of Headspace initiated by Andy Puddicombe. That has not been a problem, as I could avoid all of there ads and not use all of their AI enhanced meditation people who are pushing more comercial aspects until about a month ago. They updated their software and with it, a corruption of either my account, or a problem with their website has not allowed me to access about 90% of the content I want. In addition, I was told that they were marginalizing the website to push their ap on mobile devices. That being said, the first thing I do when I meditate is turn off my mobile device so I will not be disturbed. I researched this and the reason they turn on the ap is they gain huge advantage in being able to market to you as well as sell your data when it is done on the mobile ap. Meanwhile I get no satisfaction from my complaints, and again,got an email saying nothing, offering me a discount for a continuation of the service that I canceled at the end of its cycle, which I can't use, and ending with a sweet little something or another thought which has little meaning in context to my concerns.

Terrible experience and false adverising
Terrible experience and false advertising. They advertised on multiple pages a free trial, even once I signed into my old account they continued to offer a free trial. Once I entered my payment information however, they pulled a bait and switch, deciding I wasn’t eligible for a trial and charging me for a years subscription without any notice notice. They than proceeded to refuse to do anything to make it right

Ignoring emails and expensive renewal
I used headspace for a year and did not realise my subscription was coming to an end. I contacted Headspace as soon as the £50 was removed from my account to cancel and despite not having used the app and had I opted to cancel, I would have only paid half price at £24.99 is appalling. I emailed on 3 August and on 5 August and I have still received no response. I proposed paying the 50% cost to retain my membership, however, I have simply been ignored. Avoid.
