Very Poor Experience Changing a Flight…
Very Poor Experience Changing a Flight Booked Through Booking.com I had a very disappointing experience trying to change a SWISS flight that we had booked through Booking.com. The ticket was changeable under the booking conditions. Because of a change in business plans, my husband needed to postpone his return flight by approximately one week. I contacted Booking.com three days before the scheduled departure to request the change. Over the following several days, I contacted Booking.com and Gotogate multiple times and spoke with several agents as well as a manager. I was repeatedly told that the request needed to be escalated to a backend support team and that I should wait for a response. Unfortunately, the ticket was never changed. I also contacted SWISS several times. SWISS advised that the booking was controlled through Booking.com and that they could not process the change directly. Booking.com, however, repeatedly advised us to contact SWISS. One Booking.com representative suggested contacting SWISS again within eight hours of departure, when the airline might have greater control of the ticket. We followed that advice. The SWISS representative spent considerable time trying to help, but was still unable to access the fare information required to make the change and advised us to return to Booking.com. A Booking.com manager also promised to call me back regarding the matter, but I did not receive the promised call. Eventually, the original flight departed without the requested change ever being processed. Because my husband still needed to return on a later date for business reasons, we had to purchase another return ticket separately. What was particularly frustrating was that even after the original flight had already departed, we continued receiving messages from Booking.com via Gotogate advising us to contact SWISS to make the change. Based on my experience, travelers should consider carefully before purchasing airline tickets through Booking.com if there is a possibility that the itinerary may later need to be changed. My main concern is that a ticket may be presented as changeable, but when a change is actually requested, the customer may be referred back and forth between Booking.com and the airline without either side being able to complete the change. For future air travel, I would personally prefer to book directly with the airline whenever possible.

Disappointing
This is a scam company. I booked a ticket with them over 2 weeks ago and got confirmation. Then I got a flight cancellation and rebooking from the airline itself. I called Gotogate and was told I needed to pay an extra amount that I was not informed about. The customer service agents are not helpful at all. I advise that no one book with them unless you are ready to be told you are going to pay an extra 700+ dollars despite changing your flights and day, without any information from GoToGate. It's my first time using them, and it's going to be my last!

Booking Reference: 1111-759-376 This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. My refund has been delayed for almost 5 months. I paid $150 USD for the refund process, yet nothing has been resolved. During these months, I was given multiple contradictory updates and several specific refund dates that never happened. Different agents repeatedly told me that EgyptAir had already returned the refund to GoToGate and that the delay was on GoToGate’s side. Because of that, they kept promising exact dates when I would receive my money, but every promise was broken. In my latest chats, I requested one very simple thing: a confirmation email stating the timeframe that their own agent promised during the conversation. Multiple agents claimed they had already sent the email, but I never received it, even after checking my inbox, spam, and junk folders. I repeatedly asked them to resend it or have a supervisor send it, but they refused and kept repeating the same scripted responses. To make matters worse, one of the agents closed the chat while my issue was still unresolved, despite my repeated requests for assistance. I have documented everything with screenshots, emails, chat transcripts, and screen recordings. I have also opened a dispute with my bank because this refund has negatively affected me after paying by credit card. I paid your company $150 USD, but instead of receiving proper service, I received months of delays, conflicting information, broken promises, and refusal to provide basic written confirmation. I cannot recommend GoToGate to anyone. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, be very careful before booking through this company.

ATTENTION: N'achetez pas de billets sur GoToGate – Fraude à la consommation Je souhaite partager mon expérience avec l'agence de voyages GoToGate afin de mettre en garde les autres utilisateurs et leur éviter d'utiliser leurs services. Si votre vol est annulé, vous risquez de perdre votre argent. Ce qui s'est passé: Mars 2026: J'ai acheté 3 billets d'avion via GoToGate. Avril 2026: La compagnie aérienne a annulé les vols. GoToGate nous a proposé des solutions alternatives, mais elles étaient extrêmement désavantageuses pour mes deux compagnons de voyage et moi-même, nous les avons donc refusées. Nous avons demandé un remboursement intégral. Selon la réglementation européenne, l'argent doit être restitué dans un délai maximum de 7 jours à compter de la demande. Situation actuelle: GoToGate refuse catégoriquement de nous rembourser. Face à ce comportement totalement abusif, nous avons dû porter l'affaire devant plusieurs instances officielles: Centre Européen des Consommateurs (CEC) en Espagne: La plainte a déjà été déposée. Konsumentverket en Suède: GoToGate ayant son siège social en Suède, nous y avons déposé une réclamation officielle. Banque émettrice de la carte de crédit: Nous avons lancé une procédure de rétrofacturation (chargeback) pour fraude en raison du non-respect du service. À ce jour, j'attends toujours le remboursement du montant des trois billets, l'agence ignorant totalement les délais légaux établis. Mon conseil est clair: Restez à l'écart de GoToGate. Si quelque chose se passe mal avec votre vol, ils feront tout leur possible pour garder votre argent de manière illégale. Évitez-vous des maux de tête, des pertes financières et des mois de procédures de réclamation en achetant directement auprès de la compagnie aérienne ou via des agences sérieuses!

I am in contact with Gotogate right now with flight-related issues (name correction), honestly, it's like hell! This company should be fined for failing to respond to guest concerns. Reps are laughing, giving you false promises, and all sorts of things so that they can drop your call. I will keep posting reviews here until they address my issue before our flight on the 3rd of June this year, ref no. 40-860184378.
