I always loved GitTower since the very beginning, but now their pricing became too high. They now restrict feature to upper plan, very frustrating. Time to migrate to another solution, more affordable

When I was getting started in the software engineering world I found the git CLI tricky, especially for performing more complicated tasks. Tower gave me the confidence I needed to be a git wizard 🪄. This year marks the 8 year anniversary since I started using Tower in my day-to-day workflow, and to this day I still use it daily (in combination with the traditional git CLI) to efficiently handle multiple projects and repositories. Would definitely recommend it to those new to git, but also those just looking for a great git GUI. Overall an excellent tool.

The command line interface has always been abstract for me. When using version control, I'd find myself struggling with merge conflicts because I couldn't really understand why they were happening or what they were specifically. When I found Tower, I felt empowered to use more git features because the UI felt intuitive and seamless. Tower is how software should be; it makes abstract version control actionable and easy. I highly recommend Tower, and I use it every single time I sit down at my computer to get development work done.

I'm not a CLI person when it comes to Git. Tower offers one of the best GUIs for git, and related services. I rely on git-flow, and Tower makes that seamless to visualise. The recent updates including creating, viewing and triaging PRs, seamless merge and rebase, powerful keyboard shortcuts makes the whole experience worth the money. Been using Tower for as long as I remember and never had to look for any alternatives.

I started using Tower in 2011, not as a replacement to git cli but as a visual partner to the cli. I never really understood any aversion to using a GUI, as a web/mobile engineer I build GUIs every day. The more I used Tower the less I found myself needing the cli. Today I don't use the cli at all. Some features I use daily are: * interactive rebase * opening conflict resolution directly from tower * squashing, deleting, moving commits * stashing, branching The key bindings are really well thought out. I've onboarded developers that use Source Tree or GitHub Desktop and after a few pairing sessions they soon swap to Tower. Tower helps our team easily follow the internal git branching conventions. When the whole team can follow the same practices easily productivity increases.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
