I developed a health condition after working with them and they fired my while still in operation room . They said they no longer need my services because I was two days absent to do operation.

Bolton - Park Cakes - Very Bad Experience
Originally taken on as a mixing operative for Park Cakes in Bolton. Very very bad experience across the board. I have had similar experiences with GI Group at another site. Never answer the phone, emails, very unprofessional. Contacted Gi as i had moved to another area and was asked to goto park cakes in Bolton as a night mixing operative. Thrown to different departments every single shift, no face fit mask provided. No PPE other than boots provided. Ended up getting conjunctivitis which i could not attend a shift. Breathing and in contact with flour/ingredients all shift with no workers wearing any masks and none provided. told agency and was told they would contact me the day after, sent message notifying i was available for work and had recovered only to be ghosted and no shifts now allocated to me. same experience across the board at all sites i have encountered GI Group. Unprofessional, time wasters, and have no care in the world for staff health and safety.

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with GI Group Recruitment. I applied for several roles over a period of time where I met the stated experience requirements, but I never received any response or feedback. Even a basic acknowledgment or update would have been appreciated. Trying to contact the company was also frustrating. On multiple occasions, calls went unanswered, making it difficult to follow up on applications or get any clarity on the process. On the rare occasion I was able to speak to someone, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. I didn’t feel like my application or questions were taken seriously, which left a negative impression of the company’s approach to candidates. Overall, the lack of communication and professionalism made the experience discouraging. I would recommend that the company improve its responsiveness and candidate engagement, as these are key parts of any recruitment process.

Really disappointing to see disregard of the living wage
Really disappointing to see in this day and age this agency is offering its agency pay at the absolute minimum whilst the companies they work for are hiding behind the agency veil whilst promoting ethical pay standards and subsequent accreditation Do I think this is limited to GI group, no. However with escalating costs in the UK to offer 40 hour working weeks minus the lunch break for a paid 35 at £12.21 is forcing people into poverty

Felt like I got scammed.
Felt like I got scammed. they asked for identification, which seemed weird but I provided anyway, thinking it will help with the process. had an interview with them, said they will contact me withing 2-3 days to schedule another. Never heard from them again, even after Emailing to ask for an update.
