Order geodomx mini ultra with flooring…
Order geodomx mini ultra with flooring was supposed to arrive in two days arrived 6 days later would be good to have better communication as I had taken holiday off work to build dome. When it arrived it was on pallet 2 boxes and the rest was wood and screws for flooring. First got joiner to do flooring also I had to order deck leveling stands for under dome so wood is not at ground level and so you can make sure some is completely level before starting build. This is not a novice build I am gerally very good at DIY and it's a defo 2 person job. I feel the instructions could be better I think there should be actual pictures of real dome so you can see visuals as you build or step by step videos with tips and how to solve issues would have been helpful. I did contact geodomx once during build and it was helpful. During the build you need to make sure numbers of tiles at at top and readable from outside if you don't do this the tiles won't match up as tiles are all different sizes. Also during build I had to manipulate dome to line up screw holes. We had the metal screws option and the ultra is 30% thicker than original dome i found the tiles to be tough and appear quite strong. The door was difficult and took longer and was frustrating me, in the end I had to think outside box the M5 screws were catching on last panel and I couldn't line them up so I decided to buy stainless steel M4 screws and they worked we had to use a few of them then we were back to M5 screws and door works fine, I feel they should supply you with some M4 screws for difficult areas as well that screw being a bit smaller made a big difference and we only he and to use a few of them but you must make sure the screws you purchase are suitable for outdoors. Attachment of dome to decking took a few attempts as I had to keep manipulating dome during build and had to remove screws and to do this. At end of build I anchored dome as best I could and I went round edges with clear silicone to seal and I used wood filler on flooring and waterproof all flooring and wood outside dome. I build the dome over 4days while I was working,give yourself time and make sure base is level. Sorry I went on I just want to pass on what I have learnt on this build. Now dome is built I really do like it and will use it regularly will just need to see how sturdy it is over winter.

Great experience buying the geodome x…
Great experience buying the geodome x ultra. I had been looking at domes for over 6 months and after checking out all options the geodome x came at the top of the list. Ordering was simple and delivery smooth. Not yet erected as weather is bad right now up in Shetland which is driving me mad as I want it up now. So excited.

Our dome has transformed a space in our…
Our dome has transformed a space in our garden which we didn't use as only gets the sun in the morning. Since building the dome, we have been in it every night. It's inside, but feels like we are outside. We bought a table top patio heater which is perfect for the space too, to give a bit of warmth and light. We haven't attached to the ground yet, and currently we can't slide the door down as it comes out the track, so hopefully that will be resolved when the screws are in.
