Incredibly rude staff member in the luggage department. He volunteered that he was the manager. I suggest he attends a customer service course and learns how to deal with members of the public. Absolutely shocking behaviour. Not a good representative for Frankfurt Airport.

I would rate Lufthansa and Frankfurt airport as minus 5. Rude, inefficient and arrogant. I had booked wheelchair assistance at all the airports on my route. Only Lufthansa and Frankfurt had none available. I almost missed my flight to Alicante due to no assistance to get to gate in time from lounge. I also almost ended up having to sleep upright on a bench overnight, 3 months after a hip, replacement, as an assistance car I flagged down suddenly decided to dump me at Gate A13 instead of taking me out of the EU security area into the area which was non EU so that I could stay at the MYCLOUD transit hotel overnight located at Z, before my morning flight. One car I tried to get on took me a few feet. The driver was an extremely large woman wearing a black pant/dress and bright red lipstick - car number was 31. She was the rudest of all the rude people I had to deal with at the airport. She should be fired. We who live in Canada would never talk like that unless extremely and deliberately provoked and even then…….? I hope,to never have to book Lufthansa again and definitely not if it stops in Frankfurt.

One of the worst airport experiences I’ve ever had. I fly overseas almost every month, sometimes even more, and I can honestly say I’ve had better airport experiences in developing countries and even in conflict-affected areas such as Afghanistan, Syria and parts of Africa. I never expected an airport in Germany to leave such a terrible impression. The worst part was the immigration officer’s behaviour towards my mother and daughter. They mistakenly thought the immigration clearance was already completed and followed me out. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, the officer came out shouting at them, slammed his door, and told them “USE YOUR BRAIN” while circling his finger beside his head in a gesture implying they were crazy. My mother does not understand English well, and this was clearly an innocent mistake. My daughter was also completely shocked. Watching my mother’s ashamed face after being treated this way was deeply upsetting. There is simply no excuse for speaking to passengers, especially an elderly person, in such a degrading manner. And unfortunately, the poor service did not stop there. The airport had extremely limited seating, very few cafés/eateries with barely enough seats, self-check-in kiosks that repeatedly redirected us without working properly, long queues with only two assisted check-in counters open, a confusing tax-refund process, and unnecessarily repetitive immigration procedures involving both kiosks and counters. What should have been a straightforward departure became an unnecessarily stressful experience. I did encounter two staff members who were genuinely friendly and helpful. That was the only part of this entire experience that was worthy of the one star. 9 August 2026 — Qatar Airways FRA–DOH, 17:15
