FastReport is THE reporting engine
FastReport is THE reporting engine, cannot imagine my Delphi-work without this tool. I needed an older version for maintaining a legacy project and I get excellent, very helpful and flexible support, they provided me all the help. Thank you FastReport! Keep on the excellent work!:))

Great developer oriented report generator
Fast Reports is a great replacement for Crystal Reports. Concepts are very similar although the implementation details are different, and do take some getting used to. Documentation is good; more practical examples would be nice. There's a support forum where you can post problems you're having, and generally you'll get answers from other users or FR staff within a day or so.

We bought Fast Reports VCL to replace the old Crystal Reports VCL…
We bought Fast Reports VCL to replace the old Crystal Reports VCL that we used to integrate reporting into our application. The programming required to integrate it was successful and was no more complex than working with the old Crystal Reports VCL component. Once designed, Fast Reports reports actually run faster than equivalent Crystal Reports, with at least the same level of functionality. But despite all these positives, I'm only giving the Fast Reports VCL a 4-star review because of the steep learning curve for designing reports - we feel that the v2026.1.7 interface for designing reports is less intuitive than the equivalent Crystal Reports designer. This isn't really a problem for the majority of report which tend to be quite simple, but should your report design require anything out of the ordinary or complex, there can be a steep learning curve, so that even with all the tutorials and help pages that are available, programming experience becomes helpful.

Simple to use
The things that I like: - simple to use - I can build (paste) my own queries - rarely need sub-reports - can code in C# in the report (to get source data or control the look of the report) I think that documentation and support could be a little bit better.

I was needing new print report functions and the 64bit version
I was needing new print report functions for a project realized long time ago with Delphi 2007. So I got the new Delphi 13 and the last Fast Report to accomplish this goal. Everything has gone well, the part important for me was the 64bit conversion of the program. Good result and my customer happy, so I too am happy again.
