Charging $100 to return and lying about the hair being human

The extensions are beautiful but I discovered the brand is selling synthetic hair as full human hair. They sent me the wrong color and charged $40 in return shipping despite their mistake. On top of that, they charged me a “customs fee” and this is on top of the non refundable “tariff fee” they charged at checkout. To my surprise on the customs declaration sheet they emailed for my return, the value of the item is listed as “$32 synthetic hair.” I can’t believe they charged close to $100 in return fees even though they sent me the wrong color and lied about the origin of the hair. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them and will never purchase from them again. For $350, there are tons of reputable US based brands that do not scam you out of $100 for the return and who can verify the origins of their products. Be very wary of ordering because if you have to return for any reason you will be out almost $100.

Do not buy the hair extensions

Do not buy the hair extensions. After only 21 days, the ends of these extensions are turning a light pink color as if they were dipped in Kool-Aid. I use K 18 purple shampoo and otherwise living proof color safe products.. there’s no reason that should be happening. I’ve never had this happen with hair extensions before. I usually get mine at the hair shop in LA had my other blonde extensions for years and they never turned a different color as if they were dyed red underneath? Also, they shipped from overseas, so make sure it’s the right color because it’s impossible to return them. You’ll have to pay a fortune. They offered me $20 for my trouble, but tape in extensions are supposed to be reusable for six months+. I only got to use them for 21 days and wasted a few hundred dollars. I keep trying to purple dye them and it works for a day, but then it goes back to a light pink color only at the end at this point.

Hi Lauren, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand how frustrating this must feel, especially after only a few weeks of wear. Based on the light pink discoloration shown at the ends, this type of color change is usually linked to an external chemical reaction rather than the hair being dyed red underneath or a normal color-fading issue. Blonde extensions can sometimes react to ingredients found in products such as sunscreen sprays, tanning products, certain purple shampoos or toners, hard water/mineral buildup, pool or ocean water, chlorine, and other chemicals. These reactions often show most visibly on lighter blonde shades and may appear pink, peach, orange, or brassy, especially at the ends where the hair is most exposed. We understand you mentioned using K18 purple shampoo and Living Proof color-safe products, however, even color-safe products or environmental exposure can sometimes interact with blonde extension hair differently than natural growing hair. We have already offered compensation as a gesture of support, but we’d still like to better understand what may have caused the discoloration. If you’re open to it, please share whether the extensions were exposed to sunscreen spray, pool water, ocean water, tanning products, heat protectants, or any toning/color products during the 21 days of wear.
