Rubbish!!!

Rubbish!!!! update from last review unable to supply downloadable working manual,now sent me a Haynes manual Really is this a OEM standard also sent pdf for the wrong engine which was in the email trail had they looked .Been two weeks nearly still nothing of any use for vectra c 1.9dt

Promises made promises broken, rubbish part product.

I brought a manual for my new (secondhand) car, a Hyundai ix20, their website promised a manual for cars up to 2019, they said " the same level of information about your Hyundai ix20 that your official dealer has. Every single element of service, repair and maintenance is included in this fully updated workshop manual. From simple service procedures to a full engine rebuild, every procedure is covered with simple step by step illustrated instructions." They promised a full servicing guide, there was none at all, they promised, "Dealer Level Workshop Resource Collection Complete Interactive Technical Information Systems Workshop Manual Complete Wiring Systems and Schematics Service Schedules, Intervals and complete walk-through of Procedures Torque settings, Lubricant and liquid guides and Tool requirements for each job Every conceivable repair/replacement/Service procedure fully explained" none of which were present, and especially for my 2017 as the oldest year mentioned anywhere is 2016. I tried asking them to explain, they didn't, I eventually got my money back from PayPal after they first ruled in favour of the seller by calling their customer services and telling them they got this one wrong. I can't help but think this company are rip-off merchants if what they sold me is anything to go by. Oh, and I did contact them their customer services who said they'd pass on my concerns to their technical team, and that was that! Easymanuals have responded with more nonsense, there's a surprise. The service you sold me was not fit for purpose, it was missing three years of cars including mine, whole section were blank and there was absolutely no 'service data'. Suggesting I am from a competitor is pathetic, and just trying to undermine my review.

Of course this is not quite our perspective of what happened and for the record PayPal did rule in our favour which is rare but we had no objection to PayPal processing a refund to the customer, in this instance PayPal did not charge us for the refund due to the overwhelming evidence supplied of support responses, customer service and the actual product sent to the customer. The manual the customer received was the official dealer manual, that's just a fact, we also offered the full software manual as well as alternative PDF manuals, all of which are based from official sources. We don't author the manuals, we help customers obtain their workshop manual so they can view it offline, which is their right, rather than have to pay dealerships often upwards of £25 a day to access similar information. The content is ultimately out of our hands, and down to what the manufacturer decides to release and again in what format and again how well structured. What we do is make the whole process easier and we also go out of our way to get the best resources the best formats and the best way of viewing them. This is not enough for some people. 99% of our customers are happy, and go about their day happy with the purchase. But you do always get the odd customer who will never be happy, they often send multiple questions before a purchase which is a red flag, then they usually have problems downloading the manual, then installing it, so we usually send alternative manuals to help, but this is typically not welcomed and then a PayPal dispute will be opened followed by a negative review... The crushing thing is we can spot these pretty much from 1st contact but what can you do, you can't tell a potential customer that look this isn't for you, you are not going to get on with this. So you try your best, already knowing that a dispute is on the way and lots of support tickets and then a negative review... That's the life. So we can post a generic reply here about getting in touch, we will look at it I'm sure there is something we can do, but Piers doesn't want this, he's happy now, he has multiple workshop manuals, his money back and good old negative review sitting on trust pilot. So weird that this is Piers only review, it's almost like it was a set up by a competitor to leave a negative review for us, imagine that... Anyway, life goes . We do our best.

Fell at every hurdle

I don't doubt that many people have had a good experience with this company, but I'm afraid I'm not one of them. I asked for confirmation that a particular manual would cover my Ford KA+ Active and was assured that it would. I duly purchased the download version on the 27th July. I then downloaded all of the relevant .rar files into my PC. They didn't unzip correctly. I contacted their support and received instructions on how to download two additional programmes. 1. A specific zip/unzip programme 2. A programme I needed to view the unzipped files. The instructions also contained links to download the zipped files from a different site. I followed the instructions very carefully. Only one of the 5 files actually unzipped correctly, the other four returned an error message: Data error: Ford_VM_Workshop_Maual_2022\Etis.vmdk. I manged to open "part 2" eventually. Despite many attempts, I could not find my car model in the list. Just about every other Ford, but not mine. I asked a family member to check, in case I was experiencing age related vision problems. No my model is not listed. More e-mails to their support line. In the meantime, I also downloaded the files to my Ipad as I read that the manuals are really intended for use on tablets. They wouldn't open on that either. I received an e-mail from "Rich" on the 29th telling me to do.....exactly what I had already done, reproduced here: So you need to use wither winter to 7Zip to extract the downloads, nothing else. You also only need to extract part 1 as all the parts are linked and will extract when you extract part 1, they also need to be in the same location. The installation instructions should walk you through this. Indeed they did, but it's the unzipping that does not work in the manner the instructions state, i.e. the necessary file is not read correctly. Part 1 returns the same error message every time I try. I then tried to go right back to the beginning and redownload the files. I got this message: Sorry, you can't view or download this file at this time. Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file that you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file. If you still can't access a file after 24 hours, contact your domain administrator. Another e-mail to "Rich" and he replied this morning with an exact copy of an e-mail I had received two days earlier. It told me where I can go to download the instructions. So, four days of e-mail exchanges and I'm back in the car park. And, the part that I could open no longer opens. Instructions clear: one star Timely response to e-mails: one star Satisfactory outcome: no stars Total: two stars There may well be a simple fix/explanation but why haven't we got there after four days? I don't think that the website makes it clear enough that some of their manuals do not transfer to PC easily, or in my case, not at all.

Hi, sorry you had a frustrating time. So it looks like you have hit a number of issues here. It appears that the file was being over downloaded so due to sever abuse the amount of times it can be downloaded is limited. I am surprised you were not offered a PDF manual, which makes me think it was not Rich replying to you but someone using a stock reply that he has signed as an example reply. On that note please contact us back and we will send you the pdf manual as that seems the best solution. July and August is always a challenging time as we have a lot of staff off on holiday which does impact our support centre, not your problem I know but a fact of life we have to deal with. I think your review is fair and i really would like to have an opportunity to improve it, so please get in touch FAO Rich and I will see what I can do.

Load of rubbish. Document inaccessible.

My husband ordered a service and repair manual on a USB stick. Expected a pdf document but instead sent a link to download which never worked despite much correspondence. In the end they sent a pdf document which revealed over 3000 pages with no index and no wiring diagrams which is what he was looking for. Refused to refund. Be warned and don’t buy from this company!!!

HI Marion, this is yet another review based on the software ability of the user rather than the product. We cannot help that you are not that computer savvy, and there is nothing wrong with that, but that exact same manual has been used by many customers with no issues at all, so it is a challenge for us to have to agree that it doesn't work or can't be installed when we 100% know that it can. What we do and what we did was send you a pdf manual instead something much easier and simpler and of course it is fully bookmarked and indexed and searchable but you have already demonstrated that you are not that computer literate so have also had difficulty navigating it and probably this time ready to give up, angry and just want to leave a bad review... So here we are. You must understand these are technical manuals created for computer systems often not in an easy format to deal with and we make it as easy as possible to use and install but your PC knowledge or PC configuration, age etc is out of our hands so we offer alternatives wherever we can and help always, but sometimes people just see red or don't want to be helped or are just to angry to see we are trying to help. Do you think we want a bad review?.Of course not. We don't pay for reviews, we don't ask for reviews, maybe we should buy frankly we don't it's all dodgy. But if you read all our reviews you will see even reading between the lines that we have tried to help each customer, we have sent multiple manuals often, sent installation guides and usually done all we can to help, that's great customer service.

Don't deal with these people

Don't deal with these people, I couldn't download the manual, kept trying without success. Contacted them and got a reply asking what engine I had but it was just a throw away email. I've had no responce to my emails back. I've tried to email them through the website but have been told there is a problem and my email hasn't sent. I now have a ranting email reply after leaving a bad review. I think this speaks volumes. Get in touch they say, well I tried that and got no answer after sending several replies, the last one similar to the review basically saying I’d been scammed. I’ve written of the money I’ve given then and can’t be bothered to spend any more time trying to reverse the situation with them. My emails are there for them to see so why ask me to get in touch AGAIN Please don’t get scammed even for the modest amount they sting you for. Not too sure how they keep coming up high in search results when they’re consistently ripping people off. So Rich (or whoever you are) when you reply asking all concerned what my vehicle is and ignore the replies don’t get all bloody righteous with your answer if you just want to rip people off admit what you are

I am sure we can help you out, Leaving a review on a site like this because your email didn't get to us is a bit crazy and sniffs of a fake review which we are currently having a number of. Yes, fake negative reviews are a huge problem . Just like fake positive reviews there are issues with fake negative ones too. You see, is a business and it charges companies like us anything from £100 to £250 a month in order to "manage" the reviews process. We refuse to do this and so will not let us ask for reviews, or even put a banner on our site for customers to leave a review unless we pay them, they also put negative reviews at the top of our review summary page unless we pay and then we can decide if we want only positive reviews to be shown, we also cannot remove any reviews even if a customer has not made a purchase or has no interaction with us unless we pay to have an account manager - so that is the side of things. Then you have companies mainly in India who make money posting fake psotive reviews for companies, we get about 20 offers a day ranging from £5 up to £20 per positive review. In order to "encourage" you to use them they can also post faker negative reviews so you feel you need to take action to remedy it by getting more positive reviews. We don't do this, we reply in detail to every negative review instead to keep potential customers informed. Finally you get competitors who pay to have similar companies post negative reviews about the company to boost their profile, as if you look at our reviews (if they pay them) will put a competitors details on our review page which encourages customers to try them. It is all so corrupt, we don't pay for reviews, ask for reviews or pay, all our reviews are organic, as we feel this is the best way. We could pay and then a pop up box would appear as soon as customer checks out with a box with 5 stars already selected and the customer can simply click it to close it with a 10 word comment. That would boost our rating but it just feels wrong to pay hundreds of pounds to for this, and I think customers are savvy anyway and ultimately we sell workshop manuals what's the worst thing that is going to happen, your download fails so we send you another link or you get the wrong manual so we send you another one, or you are bad with PC's and so don't like the software manual, that is pretty much what every negative review is about... Anyway, rant over. Get in touch Paul, we will sort you out.
